Wow, lot's of replies..
Thanks a lot for all the advice! I am just gonna keep wearing them with the double cuff for as longs a possible now and then give them another hot soak and wash + spin and see where that takes me.
Cheers

Just so you know, one potential issue with not getting all the shrinkage out now, is that the leg will shorten when you hot wash and your old wear patterns will move up an inch or two from were they should be. Some people care about this, some people don't.

A hem will do them the power of good.

Hi folks from experience do you size up on these on TTS due to the stubbornness of the denim?
any advice will be much appreciated. -
den123 how much shrinkage did you get in inches and how long did it take to arrive back at pre soak measurements?
thanks -
I gave them three hot soaks (hottest possible out of the tap for five hours) and two 30 °C gentle washes. The most significant shrinkage occured on the inseam: lost about three inches (~ 8 cm). The other dimensions shrank as well (didn't measure) but they can easily stretch back to where you want them to be in less than an hour of wear.

thanks den123. am at a crossroad whether to go TTS or size up as I want to get all the shrinkage out as much as possible so as not to be surprised later when they shrink further.
were the hot soaks at same intervals in one period or over time? -
I soaked/washed them over time. My two cents would be to go for your normal size as the top block is very generous and they are already bigger than tag size to allow shrinkage. Sizing up may end up way too big even after soaking/washing.
The UHR denim is very stiff and abrasive first and it takes some time to beat it into submission but it's definitely worth it.
