@adam313:
Lovin' the ihsh-85 with pockets idea!
Not totally lovin' the pocket snap idea though. On a N-1 or an IHV-05, they're great. On a shirt, there is no need IMO. I now have four IH shirts with pockets and nothing has ever fallen out unless I am laying flat on my back, and even then it doesn't always happen. In those rare cases, I do not believe that pocket snaps would always prevent coins or keys from falling out. The pocket-bags are slanted down-ward slightly, so in normal situations, there is space below the bottom of the pocket opening where coins and keys can collect. But, I would imagine that the snaps would be uncomfortable with such a small pocket opening, i.e. there would be no way to avoid contact with the snaps when your hands are in the pockets, which is all the time for me. On the IHV-05, the pockets are much bigger, so there is plenty of space to put you hands without hitting the snaps all the time. But this is only my perspective, do what you like.
I'll second that

I see what you mean with the pocket snaps- I'm in agreement, they don't seem necessary

A purple/black IHTB 01
Or an overdyed version of one of them

I know it goes against the whole Western/Work idea that Ih focuses on, but I would love another shirt cut to add some variety in mix. Perhaps a western style shirt with buttons, or a single pocket work shirt cut - something that could be easily dressed up for the office crowd - could be good in a very lightweight hickory stripe (perhaps a new color stripe like burgundy or green) or solid herringbone material.

many moons ago they were going to do an oxford with a button down collar & everything but it went the way of the dingo.
maybe G$ gets enough interest he'll prompt the Bossman. I mean the ihsh 21 would never have been developed if it wasn't for this forum & now it's a staple item.

The Great White / Big Blue were some of my favorite OG items, because they were seemingly "normal" but packed a BIG Iron Heart style Punch.
This is my opinion, and may not have any merit, but I think a few years ago when the yen was powerful, the cost to western consumers would not have completely justified a seemingly "normal" shirt that would cost ~$300 to the door. It's easy to rationalize the cost for crazy plaids, heavy flannels and stuff no one else is making (like a 17oz western shirt with side pockets), but seeing how the new 147 (short sleeve 5.5oz chambrays) are priced even lower than most companies IH competes in the marketplace with, it seems now something like an oxford, or even a western in a broadcloth material "could" work and be priced competitively even with custom fabrics and IH branded details.
I guess we will see how the new USN style SS moves - if it does well, it may be a turning point for new variations to come.
I love that H is experimenting with lighter weight materials in a plethora of options because it gives people a little more time during the year to rock IH stuff. Heck, the Camp Shorts and Brugundy 147 will probably be my go to summer party kit haha.

Seconded, I don't mind wearing westerns to work everyday haha but, would like something a bit more dressy for the office when I am feeling it (single pocket oxford or even a single pocket flannel in the same vein as the 129). I haven't really branched out to other brands that have this style because I want something to be of the same quality/caliber as IH and thats not likely going to happen.

the new USN style SS, the Camp Shorts and Brugundy 147 WILL move -
haha.truth or is that 3rd'ed

Something close to the 107 UHF

Continuing the sentiment from a few posts back, I really love my 44. It has aged beautifully, and I have gotten more than a few compliments on it. I think a charcoal or brown herringbone fabric in this cut could be awesome.
edit: I realize that the upcoming grey herringbone flannel partially gets at this. I still think a nice chocolate brown shirt would be incredible.

12oz UHF are great, but any chance to bump up to some 16oz flannels?
-
A heavy fleece pull over kinda like a better Patagonia.
-
Well the heaviest they made is 12 correct? Need one or two that are SUPER heavy
Got them 9oz and 5oz flannels coming out soon

I am a huge fan(I am sure there are plenty others) of overdyed pieces. I know you did an OD chambray…. What about another one around 5 oz for summer? Western preferably
-
…and a 5oz natural cotton (not dyed, unbleached) western..
