IHSH-129 - Indigo Check Heavy Selvedge Flannel Western Shirt - Blue & Green
-
I picked this up in a small, my usual IH size, but felt it was a tad big. So I had a rush of blood to the head this morning and gave it a hot wash in Woolite, for an hour, and tumble dried medium for an hour. Lost about 1" in length, & ½" in the sleeves. Negligible shrinkage about the chest area.
This thing fits spot on now. Great shirt. I love it! "Skew?…I don't see no stinking skew!"
Edit: This shirt has softened up beautifully!

Wasn't interested in this as I struggle with the more complicated patterns (I'm a simple soul). But I have been following this thread as it has been interesting to follow reactions to Skewgate.
Now, looking at the pics on the product page and seeing how the skew affects the pattern, and also how the pocket rearrangement works I have to say that this is a bloody brilliant shirt. I love the way the pattern slopes upward so uniformly. It's really quite cool.

Get some fit pics up for the gods

I wore my green for the first time today. Now giving it a warm soak to see if I can get some slight shrink.

I am not doubting that the IH fabric is of a much higher quality and sewn up with a higher level of craftsmanship. It's a no brainer that I would pick the IH version over the other vendors any day of the week. But to be fair…..the other vendors fabric was released long before the 129 was.

So I was going through the retailers I like…and found this....
Now while it isn't this exact material, pretty darn close...8oz flannel from Japan. Looser weave, but DAMN is it so similar....but Iron Heart did it much better and is selvedge nor indigo dyded.
