IHG-02 - Medium Cordovan Wallet - Black, Ox Blood & Natural
-
Brand new here, Can anyone show a very detailed look of this Mid wallet? like an exploration of all the pockets, zipper, etc. and what connects them to the "outer" of the shell cordovan (is there a cash pocket? or is it those two long pockets in the middle?) I'm trying to see what the specifications of it is, considering its deep price point, and how it fits with american currency.
I've had two, this one for about 2 years with off and on use. There is no way around it, it is very expensive. To me, it's an heirloom quality piece. The leather is fantastic and the construction is some of the best I've ever seen.
Showing the cash slot and how the inside connects to the shell
2 large card pockets. Will also hold some folded notes
4 horizontal card slots with another vertical slot underneath. Zipped area for coin or paper and flap for receipts or transit card
Let me know if you want to see more pics.

Could I please request anyone who owns this to take a 'fitpic' shot of this wallet in their backpocket with cards / or whatever inside of it? I wanna see how bulky it is in that context..
Or if not let me know how you carry this thing around with you?

I carried mine all winter but retire it when it becomes hot because it's a bit heavy for shorts. I'll try to load it up and get a pick.

Do you carry it in your pocket or a bag? Mine is also about 2 years old but has some character from pocket wear.

I carry in my bag or brief case. I'm in the car most of the time.
Well she's a beauty. I love my oxblood but the black is gorgeous with that orange stitching!

And how the pockets are far enough apart to make it fairly comfortable.

Giles my old mate, any chance of a swivel pin on the oxblood? It's either that or a Flat Head. TVM.

No idea. I'd pick a few up if i was in Japan anytime soon but I'll get no closer than Portland, Oregon this year.
Well it's down to yours or the FH from Self Edge. I never imagined choosing a wallet would be so difficult! -
Boom…
(That was the sound of my will power collapsing under the weight of this wallet).
Bam, you're gonna love it.

I hope so. I have to admit I'm a little apprehensive about how I'll feel with regards to the $:enjoyment ratio. I came into a bit of cash and it was this or another pair of Wesco's. My boot game is up to scratch while my wallet collection is poor and that's what swung it.
I was also looking hard at TFH's veg tan mid which is cheaper, and I love veg tan. I ended up going with this because a. it's IH, and b. I figure if G-san needs to sell these at $800 there's a reason for that.

I get your concern completely. However when you take into consideration the materials (cordovan, silver, the best leather, and sinew), the intricate design, and exquisite finishing I think you'll agree that you're holding one of the finest wallets in the world. I am a certified wallet nut and this is the crown jewel of my collection.

I purchased one and it is a thing of beauty. The quality is there and the finish is fantastic. I always think if you buy and use these things then they are great value for money as they give pleasure and a feel good factor on a daily basis. They are only expensive if you don't use them.
