@Omega:
30% off is excellent.
Have my eyes on the Workman Wabash and/or the Indigo Metis. They are both excluded :(.
Garrison shirt for $230 is an excellent deal, how about the Tonkinoise Shirt?I have the Tonkinoise and it is good but it is a bit of a vintage military fit (not much taper and full sleeves). I thought about sizing down but I think it would have looked really odd. The Buzz Rickson chambray is awesome though with lots of character. Here is mine:

Garrison shirt for $230 is an excellent deal, how about the Tonkinoise Shirt?I'm not a Tonkinoise kinda guy, myself… But, seems that those who have it love it. I have lusted over this Garrison Shirt since its inception. So much more that I want, but I'm being reasonable lol

If I bought it all over again, I would have bought the denim and used it as a shacket.

If so, in the same size? Is it because the fit is a bit generous? Still sitting on the fence between the BR and the Denim version of this shirt.

Fit on the tonkinoise isn't particularly generous. I have the denim version in my regular size and it fits somewhat slim. The length of the shirt is a bit more cropped than some of MF's other shirts. If you are planning on wearing as a shacked it would definitely be a size up piece. I'm a bit long in the arms for my size so the sleeves are about as short as I could go as well.

Guys with the Skipper jacket, how warm is it? And how's the fit, generous of small?
Looking for a somewhat lighter jacket that I can use when it rains, everything I currently have is too heavy. It's really not that warm of a jacket, more of a spring piece. Mine is a 40 and is a slim fit but it's still comfortable. Keep in mind it isn't waterproof so I'm not sure how good of a fit it would be for you.
Btw, I think @snowy still has one as well.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm so close to ordering a Loco jacket that it's driving me … crazy. The length is the only measurement that is making me second guess it.

How much length is it missing? A 30% off sale is hard to pass up….. ESPECIALLY when it's at Mister Freedom!
I'd prefer another 3/4" but I might just give it a shot anyway. I can always send it back if I know it won't work prior to a soak.

Yup, have one as well. It's light for sure, and not even close to waterproof. It reminds me of a denim shirt in terms of it's warmth…

Let us know what you finally decide on. A rain resistant, stylish jacket that won't cause heatstroke in our weather is not an easy hunt.
By the way, I went functional and non-stylish, myself: https://www.amazon.com/Columbia-Watertight-Packable-Jacket-Black/dp/B00DQYWIHA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469899963&sr=8-1&keywords=columbia+watertight+ii

For hot weather I have a Battenwear popover anorak which is water resistant and a Patagucci rain shell which is waterproof.
I like the jacket Chris pointed out and might get one myself.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

El Loco has arrived!
…in an Apache box?
Pre-soak fit (pardon the shorts)
Soaking….look at that texture!
Now drying
First impression is that it doesnt seem as boxy as I thought it would be, but this is pre-soak and it may feel differently after losing some length. Second, the green button holes pop against the denim and match the burl buttons beautifully. Last, the denim is phenomenal and I am loving it.
I am a little perturbed that my jacket came in a box and not a denim bag as it was listed but I got it on sale so I can't complain. I can't wait for it to dry and with the sun out in full force today it won't take long!

So, you were disappointed your jacket came in a box instead of a denim bag? My jacket literally came folded up in a bubble-mailer with NO packaging, lol. Matters not. I'm sure this beauty will prove to be one of my favorite shirts.
I ordered a large, because I know MF fabrics shrink… And, shrunken denim always feels more interesting to me. Dropped it immediately in to a hot bath... 75C. I don't play around! Currently waiting for the air dry to finish, but, just eyeballing it, I know it will fit. The biggest dry fit issue was that it was too long. The bottom is curling after the soak, so I already know I lost some length, which is good. Fit pics to come eventually. Just know that I like it enough as of now, that I'm considering the midnight version as well. Lord knows I don't need another denim shirt though, lol

Looks good to me! How do you feel about it?

Thanks! I was really worried about the length but it actually fits very similarly to my Kapital Century Denim Long Western jacket. I think it will work well with my shorter shirts like my 32, 109, and 123 but others will have to be tucked in. If I had to pick only one denim jacket, I'd stick with my SC Type II which works with almost any outfit. The Loco has more of a sleeved vest look and takes a little more preparation to work. I think that it will be a real stunner when worn with the right clothes.
Styling aside, the construction and denim are phenomenal. The 301 Okinawa denim is super coarse and slubby but my experience is that it will be soft within a few days of wear. I've been wearing it inside to try to break it in and I look forward to a more natural fit especially around the shoulders. The corozo nut ring buttons are very similar to the sewn ones on my Drover jacket but have a little pop of brass in the center. They are easy to remove and should last a very long time. I may remove the buttons on the cuffs as I don't want to scratch my watch and the cuffs look great folded up anyway. I think my biggest draw to this jacket are the wrap around pockets. Super functional and big enough for lots of stuff.
As for the packaging, it's not a big deal but as it was listed as coming with a bag I was expecting to get one. I asked Christian if I could buy one and he said he'd check into if they have any more hiding around the shop. Great if I get one, no worries if I don't. It doesn't affect my love for the jacket either way.
@davito I remember you having one. Did you sell it? Still have any pics of you in it by chance?
BTW, the Garrison shirt was a huge temptation but I am trying hard to save up some money for IH and MF F/W'16. Sounds like we're in the same boat about a closet full of denim shirts but it doesn't keep me from pining for another. Any fit pics yet? I bet that thing is going to break in beautifully.
