IHSH-130-PB - Purple/Black Ombre Ultra Heavy Western Shirt

If I were in your situation, I would see two possible solutions
1. calculate the amount of time that you will wear the sleeves rolled up. for me this is >60% at the very least.
-so then zero fucks could be given about the sleeve length2. commit to buying-hot.washing-wearing.while.damp, and then wearing hard for a time to crease the elbows and wrists and cuffs enough to eat up that extra length you are so desperate to avoid.
-when you combine that with whatever amount of shrinkage you are able to achieve, i believe it should solve the problem.i am 5'7" with wide shoulders. I wear a M and L in IHSH's, so a size bigger than what is ideal for my other dimensions. Sleeve length has never been an issue, the creases eat up some length for me

@adam313 Thanks so much for taking the time to help me resolve my shirt dilemma. I'm about 5'8",but I weigh about 175. Thanks to 45 years of beer drinking I have an old guy/dad bod,so I need all the dimensions of an IH XXL,but the sleeve length. Like I said I'm going to go and try it on and see how it fits/looks and I'll keep what you said in mind. Once again thanks for your input.

Well the new sizing is something to consider = a full inch longer sleeves than previously. Glad I got my shirt fix in before this, as I consider myself to have relatively long arms, and the previous measurements were spot on. An extra inch is too much fabric for me to wrangle with given the overall cost of the shirt, even though I roll them up most of the time. Will have to watch and admire from afar. This one is a beauty.

Happy to report that I went to Self Edge NYC today tried on the shirt and, aside from the sleeves being a little long, it fit perfectly. when the sleeves are buttoned the sleeves bunch up slightly, but it's hardly noticeable. In my opinion it's the coolest flannel western shirt ever. They suggested soaking the sleeves in hot water from the elbows down. Don't know if I'll go that route. Wish I could've taken the shirt home with me but since I had an online credit with them I had order the shirt online to redeem it. Should be here by the end of this week or early next week. Can't wait.

I received mine today, and I love it! It's a little tight in the midriff, but that's just motivation to do more situps!

Finaly took the plunge to get one of these. Was torn between this and the BC, but decided to complete the ombre collection.

Good choice, @Max Power . This realy is a great shirt.

Thanks! Yes, I like how Vibrant the colour Looks compared to the 101.

I went workshirt on this, because I wear my purple 12 more than any shirt. The colors are very different, and both are great. The western looks really good on you. Congrats.

Just got the 130 as my first IH shirt ever. Had a question…do you find that the inside of the shirt (brushed cotton side) pills really easily?
I wore it lightly only for a couple hours and when I took it off, noticed pretty severe pilling for a first time wear. Is this normal or did I get a defective shirt?...kinda disappointed at how easily it pills
-
Do you have a picture? I've owned quite a lot uhf's now and cant say ive noticed severe piling, but also dont pay too much attention. They develop some piling and fading on the outside with frequent wears and washing but you can also wash and wear it without any problems for years and im sure your shirt is no exception.
-
@rmc is it throughout the shirt? I've worn mine pretty much everyday for the last few months (I have a few that I keep in rotation), but I've noticed some regular (not severe) pilling inside the collar in the back of the neck area, but it doesn't seem to be harming the shirt at all.

With flannels and other napped fabric I get pilling in the areas where the shirt rubs my denim and belt almost immediately, and like @Dstauffer said, the back of the neck and shoulders over time.
This is pretty common with napped fabric in my experience and doesn't affect the overall quality of the shirt.
