Good looking shirt, great fit.
-
Also agreed, very good fit, especially for pre-soak. Some people seem to be complaining about the length but I definitely don't see any issues in that pic.
-
Looks great. I'm happy they are a bit long. I'm really thinking about the
N1-H jacket too. Just not sure I can get it and the lefty trucker when it arrives. -
Congrats Ane! That shirt is awesome.

Beautiful details @Anesthetist

Anyone looking at that anniversary pea coat? They will be getting them in today I'm told.
-
It's a great looking coat, but I'm afraid I'm just too pale to pull off something like that.
The blanket lining inside is great too. I've still got my heart set on the black deck jacket.
Reading the description leads me to believe it won't be as warm as my 2014 Blouson de Quart, so that's how I'm justifying it. -
That black jacket is nice. I just sent mine back though. I loved the look but just wasn't long enough for my taste. The lining is lighter so it should work for you
-
It sounds like the new N-1H is their Naval take on a Tanker jacket. You get the Deck Jacket look but with the versatility and lighter weight of a Tanker. That might have also been the reason for the shorter profile as tankers are means to be worn around the waist while heavy N-1s should fall mid fly on most people.. at least they do in the old photos.

To be honest, I had zero intention of getting anything from the anniversary collection. I kinda figured I had all the Indigo stuff I needed.
Then I came to my senses and realized I was being an idiot so I emailed Cristian and, as usual, he hooked it up.
First up, the "infamous" 2-tone Naval Chinos. I know people hated the blue stitching, but after seeing pairs a few years old, the thread fades to such a faint blue it's not noticeable after a few washes. Plus, essentially ever officer chino designed with a front pocket arcuate is based of Christopher original design, so instead of buying more RRL Chinos, I figured I should man up and get the real thing. Also, I always liked the two tone Khaki - seemed a little rustic and I have always dug it.
The fabric is like nothing I have ever seen or felt before. Really slick, really tight weave, almost sateen like.
The fit is pretty standard from what you would expect. Fairly sizable hem, but classic seat and thigh. Slimmer than the Sportsman Chinos, baggies than Garrisons. They tightened up a bit with a run through a light machine wash cycle but I expect more once I give them a real wash and dry. The color is light so I expect them to get dirty easily so they will get washed often. They stretch almost immediately.
And like many of you, I snagged a CPO. Fit is larger than I thought it would be based on measures and mine didn't shrink at all in a cold soak. Hoping it tightens up once I let it see a wash.
Now off to try and shift more gear to pay off the CC before the wife notices [emoji41]

Broark - I'm at work now but will post measures post soak.
There is still An OG pair from 2008 available in 36, but I figured I wanted whatever "tweaks" might have been made in the positive for fit/durability - even if the old ones are 30 bucks cheaper.

My 10A CPO shrank considerably with s hot soak/hot wash/cold rinse. Also XL, it shrank about 1.25 inches in length at sleeves and hem. Because of the the tight weave of the canvas it is hard to estimate the shrink p2p, but it was "puffy" pre soak. I did do a damp wear also, and it is much more form fitting.
Excuse the picture quality. -
That's great to hear @ShootThePier . What size do you wear in IH? I just ordered an XXL and I'm glad to hear I can expect some shrinkage.
-
Breaking in my CPO. I can see elbow comb fading already!

aweome fits @Anesthetist and @ShootThePier - after a few wears I may throw mine in a hot soak/wash as well and see what happens. I have room in the sleeves and body length as well as chest, so I should be fine to shrink it down. although the fit I have now can comfortably fit over UHFs and thick shirts, which may be what I'll use it for this winter and then shrink it down moving into fall.
@Broark - here are the measures of my pair of Anniversary Edition Naval Chinos in 2-tone khaki.
I put then in a cold "hand wash cycle" in the machine, line dry and warm iron to get them back to stock look. I feel they will shrink with a hot wash and dry. Based on the size chart on MFSC, mine should shrink down further than this with a longer wash and more aggitation.Waist: 36
Front Rise: 13
Back Rise: 15.85
Thigh: 14
Knee (12' down from crotch): 10.35
Inseam: 33
Hem (leg opening): 9.75If they shrink down to the MFSC size chart, mine would be ideal. I'd prefer the legs a little snugger and a little shorter.
