IH-822-IND - Double Knee 21oz Selvedge Denim Engineer's Pants - Indigo
-
Only two jeans I have been wearing since ei got them. These and the 821. I have to admit I wore these a bit more than the 821.
Quick comparison….
822 block the wind a good bit better than the 16oz 821. These are by far one of the comfiest pair of jeans I have! The little extra pocket tool compared to regular IH(the 634 say....) Is absolutely great! The one thing the 821 has over these is(for me and I know it's really peculiar) the ease of front pocket access/open. Not saying the 822 are any difficulty, but the 821 seem to be a bit bigger opening, both are size 36.I got a whole till I would wash these as they haven't gotten to a level of dirty I think need a wash, but I want to post some evo pictures. @Filthy25ozJunkie I wouldn't mind to see how yours are coming along and if you washed em at all yet.
@_streetshark did you get your pair in? Fall in love?
-
Got them in the day before yesterday. Wearing them at work right now for the second day and they are excellent! I'll try and post some pictures a little later.
Edit: here's an action picture along with a picture of some quick fading caused by the seatbelt in my truck. Ill trybto get a fit pic later.

@Jordonf9 hey sorry. I was in the jungle in central America working. Now I am Philadelphia working. I will get you a pic asap.

@Jordonf9 getting some subtle fades. Nothing crazy yet, despite wearing these nonstop for the past 4 months. I love these, especially the softness of the denim, and the zipper fly. Super comfy now. No soaks or washes.

Nice @Filthy25ozJunkie we are in the same boat. I did wear my 821 quite a few days, but I always go for these because they so darn comfy. I do need to soak them sometime soon. Get the particles where a air gun can get them ha.
Serisoyly can't believe it's people don't have these and ain't racing about them.
Oh and lucky you, you get to travel for work? Very nice.
-
Yeah I travel for work. But I kind of hate it… living out of a suitcase all the time.
-
I don't do it, so I couldn't imagine. With anything that is repeatable, comes boredom.
All I can think is, that suitcase is full of Iron Heart and other fine goods though, haha.

I gave these a hot soak in some Fels Naptha because they smelled like butt. Loving the subtle fades.Fels Naptha is ace for washing jeans if you've never heard of it. My grandmother used to use it to wash my grandpap's work clothes and they still sell it. It gets greasy stains out. It smells nice too. Works better than Samurai Thunder soap and is 5 bucks.

@Jordonf9 yeah 10 years of traveling for work makes for a lot of boredom.
-
Thanks for the Fels Naptha info @Filthy25ozJunkie I will have to get some. Mine are prob due for a soak.
Been loving the almost 4 months I have had these. I would think I wore these at least for around 90-110 days or so. Some days hard and now the dates are popping nicely! Love this 21oz indigo denim!

Great pics @_streetshark, @Jordonf9 and @Filthy25ozJunkie on this thread - keep it coming

No problem. I will have to write up some complete instructions on how to effectively wash with that stuff.
