IH-634S-19L-V1/V2 - 19oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Straight Cut
-
That rise as what caused me to give up and sell my pair, but the denim is really great. I periodically think about buying another pair, but there's always something higher on the priority list.
-
Because these are being re-run in the new 19oz lefty denim, the remaining stock in original lefty denim are now reduced by $100 to $240.

Hate to be "that guy", but new to Iron Heart denim, and have never dealt with a one wash, unsanforized denim before.
What's the consensus on shrinkage and stretch with this fabric? I'm bouncing around tag 32 and 33. The measurement chart indicates that the significant size difference is in the waist. I'm shooting for a 33" waist after all stretching is done. Any suggestions?

This is what it says on the product page:
"These jeans are unsanforised but One-washed. No more Shrinkage should be expected from them"
I've just added that you will get up to one inch of stretch from the denim.
Also it says this on the product page:
NOTE: due to way this denim behaves, there is some variation in sizing. Please email us and we will try and find you the perfect size

@Reggie Died - I got about one inch of stretch on my old pair, but I will say it took almost a year to get it… the waistband also cuts "in" a bit from the hips so it feels much smaller than other 634 cuts. My pair was a 38, and I wear a 36 in all IH bottoms I have. However, I would not be able to fit into a 36 of these. Hope that helps. I do know @JCMx800 got a good amount of stretch out of his, however, and @Winchy might be able to help on the stretch front as well. I am not particularly "tough" on my jeans, so that might have been the reason for my truant stretch abilities.
-
Sure thing @Giles - the 19L is perhaps my favorite IH denim I have ever had. I have my eye on the 666 variant next go around

Thanks Giles and Appfaff,
Patrick was able to find me one of the last pairs tagged 33. Waist measures at 32.5, so I'll be giving those a shot in hopes that they have a fraction of stretch. 32-33 seems to be the waist size of my other jeans, depending on the rise.
The rest of the measurements indicate a fairly heavy taper on this specific pair, which might even be perfect.
Thigh:12.7
Knee: 9.4
Hem: 8.1Thigh might be overly generous, but it's always the one spot that doesn't fit. So it should work out.
Now I just need to bide my time and hope customs and brokerage fee's don't hit me too hard coming into Canada.
Cheers

I definitely got an inch, if not slightly more, stretch at the waist with my pair but as @Appfaff said it did take a while for them to ease out and lose their 'crispiness'. It's well worth the wait though and the 'hyperspace' fades that start to appear early on look fantastic.
-
@Reggie Died - those measurements looks amazing. Congrats on landing a fantastic pair of denim.
-
This is my first pair of iron heart jawns. I am very impressed with the color of the denim! A deep indigo that looks like it will fade spectacular. I sized up to. 33 true waist 32 Measured size 31.8. Very happy with these especially considering I got the sale price. I will get a fit if I can find some good mirror.
-
Congratulations. The denim looks super awesome. You can already see them fading a bit on your left leg.
-
congrats, @spider451 !
Denim is extreme, very crisp and hard to handle, but it's one of the most beautiful I've seen in my life!
I believe that the decision to adopt a more manageable denim for the new iteration has been to meet the tastes of a wider audience.
666s-12L v1 "was" a model for authentic denim-heads and raw stuff enthusiasts. -
I hacked in some wabash to keep these 'decent' but they definitely need some proper repairs now.
-
Damn they're stunning. Also good to see you
