Wow!
-
dayum @daynym ! Beautiful!
Makes me wish I kept mine…but I love the duck more than the OD version.
-
Possibly silly question about this jacket: If I give this a wash/soak will the seams start to pucker/get bumpy? (sorry not sure how better to describe this). I love that textured look on the seams on jean jackets. But maybe the denim is too heavy to do that?
-
Cool, thanks. Then no need to wash at this point.

I'm very tempted by the imminent restock of this, despite having the 526J and 526-sbg, but I have a query about sizing.
I have an XL/42 in the other two which I'm happy with, but the chart for the OD indicates those dims are smack between the XL and XXL, with the XXL being a bit longer in sleeves and back length than I'd prefer.
If I go with the XXL and nuke it with a very hot soak to try to get some shrinkage, what damage would that do to the overdye? I wouldn't want to wash any away.
What steers me away from the XL in the OD is the 22" chest, which is less than I'd like, hence the XXL looking the better compromise. The ideal situation would be an undersized XXL, I suppose.

For what it's worth, my experience of the 33OD is zero shrinkage and a very slow fader. I machine wash it pretty regularly.

The overdying process has effectively nuked this already so you'll get no shrinkage whatsoever. With regards to damage done, the black fugitive ink has flown out of mine through wear. I'd imagine a hard wash would strip quite a bit of dye out of the jacket.

Thanks guys. Clearly shrinkage isn't a possibility, then, so it looks like I'll need to hope for an XL with a slightly larger chest, or an XXL with less back and sleeve length.
I think a larger XL would be preferable, as the very long sleeves on the SBG are the one thing I don't like about it.
