PIH5DCT - 25oz Indigo/Indigo Selvedge Denim Tapered Cut

If a 34 miraculously shows up, I might be interested… :-\

Damn…I was glad I didn't have to spend the 425 on them yesterday but now I'm sad I didn't just get them anyway The eternal struggle is real

Yeah same here. With shrink, the size 30 in the slim looks like it might work but I usually like my hems closer to 7 and I've seen some hip flares that would prob look bad on me since im skinny

I'm really loving the fit on these and wearing them every chance I get, even if that means just around the house with slipers on.
-
fit is good from the back, impressed you got the doggie to take a photo

Guys, I fell victim. Why did I have to read this thread and find out that Giles is getting a few more pairs? To everyone in this thread, they look gorgeous! I can't wait to get mine.

These jeans are unbelievable. Really. Amazing job IH crew!
(Sorry for the poor image quality)Side story:
I soaked the jeans on Sunday and put them on again a day later to check the fit and take these photos. I managed to button up all the buttons, but it wasn't easy to say the least, and took a heavy toll on my fingers. Today I wanted to actually wear them for the first time, but I couldn't handle the buttons again because my fingers were so beaten up from the first time. I struggled with them for a while and couldn't even do one button, eventually retreating like a coward, to wear something more forgiving. I will regroup and plan my revengeYou haven't heard the last of me jeans!!!

Looks like an absolutely perfect fit. Well done.

These do look like a good cut for most after the first soak. If I didn't already have three 25oz fighting for wear, I would have grabbed these too.

I put a t-shirt on my thumb to give it extra, I don't know, something. It works!

Thanks Brock. Should I hold off on the cold soak? Or just wait a few months? I love the fit.

I decided not to soak mine at all. I think most people are but I like the fit and want to keep them water free for the first year. It will be cool to see the differences with other pairs.

Water is good for your denim, initial soaks seats the constructional stitching and give things a chance to settle out. Heavyweight denim especially seems to like to break at the creases, check out pairs, especially in the comb areas. I personally have a pair of 25ozs that received soaks pretty much weekly and only had a coupe breaks after two years which developed at the very end when I became less religious about soaks. I have a pair of 21/23oz that have received significantly less soaks and wear but have a ton of those breaks. But do what you want, they are your jeans and journey after all.
Seems like great fits all around, I look forward to the evolution. I can't wait till this fall when the weather cools off and I can don these.

Great advice and info Fanya, thanks. I'll probably cold soak in a week or so.
