Hi everyone, long time iron heart fan, first time forum poster.
I'm born and raised in NYC. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, collecting records and vintage t shirts, playing drums and singing in a death metal band and I write/edit and film a small time Retro gaming show on YouTube.
Here is a photo of my current favorite pair, the 21oz 633s from self edge. I'm thinking about getting some 666s next. -
I also hope I posted a picture the correct way? I tried to go to the link in my welcome message but it didn't work. Apologies if I did it incorrectly.

Thanks everyone! Glad to be here

Hello all, I joined a bit ago, been lurking and all. My name is scott, I currently live in the dirty south aka Savannah, Georgia. I'm one of them dirtball tattooers, rider of motorcycles and avid runner. Over the past couple years I've been getting a bit more serious about my denim game and really seem to prefer the heavier weights.

Hi everyone, long-time-lurker, first-time-poster/registerer here.
Have finally saved up enough in my
running awayPayPal account from selling sundry bits and bobs and am in now a position to pull the trigger on my first pair of Iron Hearts – hallelujah! My current (read: only) go-to denim is a pair of 19oz Lee101Z that I snagged a while back. I’m really enjoying giving them a beating, but it occurs to me that I really ought to have a second pair (of decent jeans) so I can rotate/prolong lifespans…
The current measurements of the Lees suggest the closest match, fit-wise, would be something from the 634 family. However, I do find that the 101Zs have loosened up considerably (tag size was 34; real size (IH-method-measured) now is c37”…), and I really miss the fit and feeling of the Lees in their early days. They had a great fitted feel to them – which then naturally leads me to be inclined towards the fit of the 666 family (incidentally, the 21oz in both). And no, unfortunately I neglected to measure them pre-soak/wear
Does anyone else on the forum have any experience of the 101Z cut? Would be very interested to compare experiences.
Current stats of the Lees:
- Waist: 37 (there’s definitely some spare room in there!)
Front rise: 11.75
Rear rise: 16.5 (happy to shave an inch here)
Hem: 8.3
Thigh: 13
Knee: 9.5 (oh boy, the knee-bags drove me CRAZY, I was so frustrated)
Inseam: 31.5 (I was surprised how much was lost in the length (I believe they’d have been 34” originally (again, like a noob, I didn’t measure pre-soak)))
From the specs of the 666S-21, I’d imagine the 34-tagged pairs are going to be the size and fit I’m after, with the 35-measured waist giving way in time to a more friendly 36-odd. It’s the thigh that I need to keep an eye on, right?
And to throw a spanner in the works, I’m also eyeing up the 666SII too… (which, by all accounts, are shrinker-stretchers, as opposed to just-stretchers).
Anyway, I’ve taken up enough of the forum with my first post. Any thoughts and suggestions gratefully received. And to be honest, with the phenomenal Iron Heart sizing/returns deal, I can’t really go far wrong, eh?
️

Welcome, dude. I too was a Stussy whore in my youth (that was long, long ago).
