yeah the humidity definitely does make things worse…..but 119 is still effin god damn miserable.  Temp on my truck actually hit 123 driving home yesterday.

I have lots of family around Phoenix.  Putting a giant metropolis in a place where climate and geography so strongly oppose one has always struck me as a particularly stupid and arrogant human endeavor.  The resources (from elsewhere) required to make it habitable, and even golf course laden, boggle the mind. No offense to Phoenix dwellers intended.
