IH-666S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
Hi guys, just a quick question/favour to ask about these: does anyone have any post-wear measurements for a tag size 34? I'm keen to pull the trigger, but the thigh is giving me pause for thought… (my current go-to pair's thighs, some 19oz Lee101Zs, have stretched out to 13", and I reckon I might be able to reclaim an inch with the 666 fit...)
Any help (and advice) gratefully received!

I don't have this fit, but I have some experience with this denim. The 21oz stretches more than pretty much any other IH denim. That being said, an inch stretch in the thigh is a big ask for any pair in any denim. I would recommend asking the IHUK crew to measure the W34's they have in stock and see if they have a pair that come up bigger in the thigh than published measurements. That way you'll have a better chance of them stretching to something like you want them to.

I agree with what @neph93 said @StoneMagnet. Have the crew measure up the tag size 34 with the biggest thigh measurement and go from there. That strategy has worked well for me in the past.

Likewise. I've done this with 3 pairs of 666's, I'll eventually do the same thing with these when I finally get around to ordering a pair.

Thanks for input, guys, I'm super grateful!
Yeah, having scoured the forums I gathered the 21oz is the most 'forgiving' of IH's denims. My plan is this: I'm calculating that a little bit of give might bring them into line with the original fit of my 101Zs, when I felt I was strutting around like a rockstar (whereas they now feel the roadie's).
Right, I shall do just that, email for the measurements of the last pair (at time of writing) of 34s, yikes…
Again, much obliged, cheers!

Currently having a personal dilemma between these and a pair of 777-21oz ::)
Is there a particular reason for the waist measurement to be 1" larger than the tag?
Only reason I ask is I'm a 30" waist (somewhat shocking considering the love for pizza) and the 30 tag 666 claims 31" yet the 30 tag 777 claims 30" suppose the logic step would be punt for tag 29 666?

Your actual waist is 30"?

My current jeans were 30" (Nudie Grim Tim) prior to stretching with wear, they buttoned up snugly when brand new and measured as advertised. They also have similar rise to the 666 30 tag so sit the same.

Sewing up anything (bodies excepted I guess) is not a science. In a perfect world, we would have all our sanforized and washed jeans measuring as tag. But we often don't get our calculations wrong, by accident rather than design (unlike the brands that vanity tag on purpose), so ALWAYS look at the charts and measure like we do….

Hi guys, I'm wondering whether I should hem them a bit? Is this too much for the stacks?
This pair is L36"Need some recommendation !!
-
@8filtonave I would definitely have them hemmed. You've got more than enough to stack with, even with the cuff which must be at least two inches.
