Whenever I get around to writing about What are my favorite Rugged Wear, It will be the 1955S. Quickly followed by the IH 527J.
-
Thanks for doing it @Sam does look a bit much to wear low.
I think they'd look fine if you split the difference.

@tmg:
No. But I promise as soon as I have news I will announce it and as soon as they are in the UK they will be put in the shop and emails sent out….We don't normally do that of course, but in this instance...
Wow, you would do all that, just for me? You guys are amazing

Hello all,
If tag size 30 (30.5" measured) is right for me with the 666 cut, would you recommend sizing down with the 1955 due to its higher waist? Or would I be better off waiting for that certain forthcoming thing? I'm skinny with big thighs and based on the 666 I really do need taper.
The size table is missing measurements for tag size 28 BTW.

Thanks for the heads-up on the sizing chart @crystal kidney. Now fixed.
-
Restocked. New batch means new sizing chart…
The usual variance is present, plus there are remnants from previous batch, so if you're after something specific just get in touch.

That cut looks good on you @Alex

This is my first post in this forum so I hope it's worthwhile.
I've been looking at the '55 for a while but before I take the plunge and buy them online I'd like to try a pair on. I'm trying to figure if I can get away with a smaller waist size as the rise is so much higher than any other jeans I have.
Is there a bricks and mortar store that carry them? I live in Melbourne and I'm certain there's nothing in Australia, but I'll be going to London via California later in the year.
-
Nowhere outside of Europe (well, maybe a few pairs made it to Pronto in Thailand) carries them I am afraid. If you buy them from us and they don't work, your maximum exposure is USD35 (for return shipping which you can purchase through us). Sensible people buy 2 pairs and return the pair that doesn't fit for an immediate refund.
-
Or you could come down to us in Gosport to try them on, depending on how much time you have in London @JackGordon
-
@JackGordon what size are you?
I'm in Melbourne, and have a pair of the 1955 UHRs in a size 34. You could always try them if they're in the right ballpark.
-
@Giles Are there no stores in London that carry them at all?
@Alex That's a great idea. Is it right you have to catch a ferry there? Only thing is I know that after a journey like that would have to leave several hundred quid lighter..
@Graeme That's a kind offer, I may have to get back to you on that!

There is only one store in London that stocks Iron Heart and they do not stock the 1955
Is it right you have to catch a ferry there?
If you catch the train, yes…
