@jonnyv:
(didn't come with boots anyway)
My Landrover didn't come with decent sound system…..
That's a good point. I think.
Another dilemma is if I use laces in first pic or laces that came with the boots ?
I'm going to have to lie down.

@jonnyv Kilties all day long
However, imo, there is a right way and a wrong way to thread them otherwise the kilties have a mind of their own . . .
-
Original nylon laces, with the kiltie.
And full disclosure- I cannot stand kilties, but somehow, it just looks right on those.

Here goes

Looks great @jonnyv.
I'd also experiment routing the laces in the manner shown in my image as it pulls the kiltie back into the tongue, to see which you prefer . . . -
-
@jonnyv Boot on the right all day long works really well with your boots

Kilties look blooming marvellous on lace to toe boots. And yes boot on the right.
Thanks. Pic above are both laced the same. Was an earlier pic with different lacing.

Don't usually see White's in this forum…can't hurt right? I love White's due to their prominent arch support which keeps my feet well rested after long days at the ranch. I use mine mostly for cattle ranching, so they see a lot of dust, cattle droppings and some mud. I also ride a motorcycle with these boots, although not very frequently. The shifter marks aren't noticeable yet. I've had these for two years and they are still in excellent form. Walking mostly on dirt and grass isn't wearing down the 705 composition sole at all. They are a Farmer Rancher model with a distressed smooth leather.
I brush dust off as frequently as once a week. I've wiped them clean of mud and manure a half dozen times with a damp rag. And I've twice conditioned them with White's Heavy Duty Leather Preservative. I like the way the distressed smooth is aging.

Friday is boot day at work. At least it is for me, anyway.
