Monday! Damn. Good to see you around here. Hope you're well. How's Brooklyn?

all is well on this side. Thanks for asking.
hope you & your brood are good & enjoying the summer . . . Is it summer on your side of the world?
Oh & Congrats on the retaining wall, it looks great.
That vest really is incredible, glad you scored it as I don't wear any of my vests anymore
Would of possible been wasted on me

It's what passes for summer up here. Couple of 70F days here and there and there's not a prettier place on Earth when it's like that and the sky is blue. But a lot of 60F days with grey skies and rain too.
The brood are a constant source of joy and stress in equal measure, but you know.
The vest is one of the best things I own. In fact I may of bought this shirt the minute it went on sale, based solely on the vest fabric… because lord knows I don't need another indigo shirt... ::)

Beautiful. Glad I snagged one of the last

Hows this shirt pairing up with Denim jeans (dark/faded)?
Thinking of picking up one but not sure how it'll look.It looks good. The herringbone has a different look and hand to denim and the indigo colour is not the same as you typically get on jeans so it works well.

I think it'll shrink a bit on such a hot wash. My concern though, given the indigo dying and the ease with which these fade, was streaks/crease lines. But I've had so much success with shrinking IH wabash a tried and teasted method (a thorough soaking with the shower head, followed by a 95C machine wash and 400rpm spin), that I took the risk. I can't say for sure that is has shrunk yet as it's still drying but I've avoided any unsightly marks and it "looks" a little smaller.
-
The hot wash has led to some shrink, but not much. Certainly not as much as the IH wabash shrinks with the same treatment. The shirt fits ok, I could use it for layering over thick henleys in winter for example, but this material is so wonderful that I'm going to get my seamstress to take it in at the sides.

I was wearing mine yesterday, and I agree completely. It blows my mind that it went on clearance.
