IHSH-178 - 18oz Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo Overdyed Black
-
First Iron Heart shirt and I love it. Wanted to get some feedback from the experts. Overall I think the fit is good. Sleeves are long but I knew they would be. You can see from the back picture that it's a bit bunched in the shoulders. I think I can get away with it, but would like to hear your thoughts.
-Size down IMO
Here are some fit pics of my Large that came in today. I normally wear a L in IH shirts and CPO's, but I didn't need to size up with this shirt. Measurements were very similar to my Olive IHSH-162. This 178 is awesome!!! Beasty beauty…
Sleeves are just fine for my gorilla arms and the construction is magnificent. My first OD piece...looking forward to fading the f*** out of it.

@chad size down buddy that is drowning you

@Chad I didn't think it looked all that bad. When it gets colder you could definitely wear a thermal henley under it. I think these shirts are totally sick, anyway you slice it. Don't know if you plan on washing it etc. Over the years I've gotten used to the long sleeves. Unfortunately drinking beer doesn't make your arms longer.
-
@Chad if you plan on mostly wearing it with just a T underneath I think you could afford to size down. If you plan to wear it more often as a shacket or with thicker layers underneath then I think you can safely stick with the current size. I don't think it looks awkward/huge as is so if you stick with it you'll still be ok wearing with just a T.
-
If you want it as a outer layer/jacket Chad, I think your golden. Plenty of room for probably a solid base layer and mid underneath without restricting. For a main shit with just a tee under, def down one or possibly two depending on he size difference.
Also helps if you know all your measurements, IH measurements are true to the garment so it's easy to know what will fit ya.
Congrats on your first of many IH pieces!

These twill cuffs are great. I can't wait to see the denim fade and the cuffs start to POP!

Colorado has been blessed with some unusually cool temps in August and I've been able to get a bit of wear in on this. Actually I haven't taken it off unless absolutely necessary.
It is a starchy fabric, medium stiff on arrival. I didn't soak or wash it, just put it on and went at it. It has already softened up a bit and I'm sure it'll drape well eventually.
It creaks…like an old rope holding a big boat to the dock. So cool...
IH knocked this one out of the park, it's going to get a lot of use as the weather cools.
And thanks to the crew for finding me one with perfect sleeve length! Always an issue for me and I love that I can get measurement feedback prior to shipping.
