IH-888S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo

That's good news
-
I think that's bad news. I hope that future runs in other denim are true to original concept.
-
Nope. Decided to stay with the measurements of the first batch….
Personally, that makes me happy. I underestimated the 21oz again and need to flip my W35 and size down. This is such a good cut. Perfect balance between waist and thigh, and the higher rise makes them very stylish.

Are you normally a 34 in most other IH cuts?

Sorry. But this has been one of the fastest selling jeans we have ever released. True the concept is not exactly what I was aiming for, but I'd be pretty stupid to tamper with the cut and risk screwing sales. Tom thinks (and I have my fingers firmly crossed) that the IH-888NT will be closer to the original concept…

So Giles if these are staying as is which is fair enough considering how well they are doing sales wise. Does that mean there is room for another relaxed top block tapered cut in the future?

has anybody done a side by side comparison with a 633?

Excellent question. I too look forward to the comparison.

Picked up a pair of 36's yesterday from Mildblend in Chicago and had them hemmed to 31". Im short and fat. They feel perfect everywhere and will be really nice with some stretching in the top block.
Question though. The leg opening is close to 9" anyone have any advice on how to shrink the legs below the knee? I wish they had just a little more taper. If I was taller it wouldn't be a problem as they tapered more but i had 4-5" cut off the length.Oh and my truck got towed while I was there. 45 minutes. These are now a 875 dollar pair of pants with my tow bill.

@BrettD Your jeans are Ultra Heavy Raw? You can get about .75 inches of shrink with some boiling hot water if you just soak them below the knee… I mean don't even touch the part above the knee with water. The 21 oz denim won't shrink at all.
-
Oops sorry IDK where I got uhr from… my bad...
@neph93 I have uhr on the mind and I'm a little tipsy at the moment.

Thanks.
Ill wear them for a bit and see if they grow on me. If, maybe Ill send them to Railcar or somewhere and have them tapered below the knee.
I feel like a priss right now. I really wanted these pants for all the room in the top block. I bought some Naked and Famous easy guy pants recently because of the top block room and high rise. They are almost too big in the top and taper too much. These are perfect from the knee up but just a little big on the opening for my tastes…Still so nice!!!

You should send the to railcar for the taper. I sent my 634s to them for a full
Leg taper and they did a great job.
