IH-888S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
The backrise on the 888 is about an inch higher than the size chart suggests? Is that just the world tour pair or through out. I was hopping the 888 BR would be what the size chart states
-
I can only say what the World Tour pair measures, and I always trust the IHUK crew on their measures. However, there may always be a bit of variation between pairs.

The WT jeans were before measurements were tweaked. I would use the IHUK table for the standard measurements.

thanks guys.

Just need to bump this thread and tell the world how good this cut is. This 888 cut…right here...money. It really needs to be made in many fabrics.

I can tell you that SBG is selvedge, SB isn’t, and this cut will always have the extra button.
All of this is true, however we are running a sample currently in some super special 21oz selvedge superblack denim that was originally going to be used on the black 101J which did not get much retailer buy-in.

Does that mean the black 101J is cancelled?

Perfect, thanks!

My first pair of IH, loving the fit, thought the rise would be too much but feels really comfortable. The fabric and construction is second to none. The only photo i could take but you get the idea. Oh these are size 34, from rivet & hide.

Fit is spot on

thanks and cheers for the warm welcome. not had a pair of sanforised denim for a while, can I expect any shrinkage with this pair ?

No shrinkage on the 21oz. They’ll stretch a bit, tighten again when washed, then stretch back out again. And just to echo Mega and Alex, they look great on you [emoji1417]

I’m hoping to order a pair tonight but I’m confused on which size chart is correct. Self edge days the 33 waist has a 12.2” thigh and on this thread it says it’s a 12.6 I’m pretty sure inshould go with the IH chart here but just looking for reassurance. My only other pair measures: 35 waist 12.75” thigh and FR 11.5 BR 14.5. I’m looking for something smaller in the waist and more tapered but not to tight on my thighs.
-
Selfedge measure different. 1 inch down for the thigh. Which I always think is stupid.

This does sound like the cut for you.
SE and IH use different measuring methods which explains the difference. SE measure the thigh from an inch down from the crotch seam, while IH from on the crotch seam. Your most reliable guide will be measuring your jeans the same way as IH (there's a video on the shop site) and then using the the IH measurements on the product page for comparison.
