Random Rants

^^ Ha! Sounds about right. Lately I've had a few messages from people saying they can get the same item, new, from a store in a different country for only $XX more. My response continues to be, "Then I recommend you place an order with them before they run out of your size."
That's much more civil than anything I'd come out with.

Aren't babies like bouncing balls?.. Probably hasn't been much research cause selling it'd be hard… "Yes madame so basically we would like to drop your offspring..."
Anyway: let us know next time. Do it for science!..

@neph93 - the recent vasectomy is the -I was going to say icing on the cake but now it strikes me as inappropriate. -
^omg ronald. after so long?!?!?

Let it all out brother.
That jacket is awesome. Before my time but damn that thing was sweet.

Would blue do, @ronaldlsh? Not mine, but I saw this a while back. It's a medium. https://www.grailed.com/listings/3445086-Iron-Heart-Blue-Jacket–-Very-Rare

@sabergirl Thanks!
@louisbosco Haha yes! I’m back!

I'm expecting a spiffy new pair of jeans from Self Edge, which were scheduled to arrive here in San Antonio on Friday. So I checked the tracking info on the USPS website, and sure enough, the package arrived at the San Antonio Distribution Center at 3:41am on Friday. It left the distribution center, and at 7:11am, it arrived…
...in Victoria, 100 miles away. C'mon, dudes, it was right here.

It’s been a while mate, how are you?

My green card extension is so slow and it’s driving me mad. Being impatient is great fun.

many tracks are "virtual", it means some pre-processing has been done, but the package is not physically at the tracking point…...Does that explain it?
Pretty sure that's exactly what's going on with it. Happens quite often with the goofy USPS tracking system. I bet you will get your jeans today @Chris.

My brother's took a long time to go through, then the letter containing it got lost in the post. He pretty much had to go through the process again to get a replacement.

It’s a really fun & entertaining process, along with all the paperwork. It’s been pretty smooth for me, just slow at this stage. I also read there is a big back log, so that’s even better!

Everytime there's a fluctuation in temperature I experience upper back pain. When I was a kid I was diagnosed with mild scoliosis but i'm not certain if that's the root cause. I'm starting to wonder if I have an arthritic spine. Any of you deal with back pain?

So after three phone interviews (two lasted about an hour each) and an hour long presentation style in person interview I received an email from the company letting me know they wanted to schedule another call. Surely that must be good news right? They only scheduled a call to let me know I didn't get the job because I don't have enough experience. What a waste of time, stress and effort. ::)
-
Damn @Broark - sorry to hear that. Sometimes I wonder why companies even go through the motions of experience of their coffin nail.
You will find the right gig, there is a lot of opportunity out there.
With that being said, I have a friend currently hiring for some jobs in Austin that you would be great for - send me an email at appfaff@gmail.com and I’ll connect you two

Thanks Adam, it's been a real drag so far. I get interviews somewhat regularly, just for them to say "you need more experience". Finding a career path somewhat fresh out of college is proving to be a real challenge.
Luckily I do have a job currently that pays decently, but I just don't see the role developing anywhere beyond what it is currently. I just replied to your PM, thanks again for the help! -
Sure thing man - anytime
