IHJ-64-BLK - Horsehide Modified Type III Jacket - Black
Modified Type III Jacket, made from horsehide which is tea-core chrome-tanned in Himeji, Japan. Modified with a slightly longer body than the original Levi's version, and with the addition of two external hand-warmer pockets, two internal "gun" pockets, and an olive cotton twill lining. This is seriously the nicest horsehide leather we have ever seen from any tannery anywhere.

I just got hold of this jacket, and it is incredible! I thought my high large leathers jacket was amazing (and it is) but this is even better!
The leather is so nice! I am also surprised at how supple it is in comparison to my high large leathers one, where it was stiff as board. Is that to do with the tanning? I think the HLL one is veg tanned, whereas this one is chrome tanned. Also it's a lot more practical as it has two inner pockets and hand warmer pockets. You don't realise how much you put your hands in such pockets until they are not there.
The fit is great. I had wanted a fit that would be comfortable when worn over thick shirts. Tried it with a UHF with no problem. I can wear the HLL over t-shirts and this one over shirts. Perfect.
