No experience personally but I know Standard & Strange also recommends sizing down 1/2 size from Red Wing size.
Oh? I didn’t realise standard and strange stocked these. You’re not thinking of the John Lofgren m43 boots are you?
-
Actually @Qinhan, I think you should size down from your Viberg 2030 size at least a 1/2 size. I wear a 10.5 in viberg 2030, and I fit in the Buzz 9.5 ( a 10 might have been better, but I never tried that on)
price aside.. I think the lofgren version would be my pick

What's up everyone. I'm a long time lurker and have finally decided to pop my IH cherry, as such í decided to also finally make an account on the forum.
I'm mainly interested in the 777 based on the measurements, one measurement gives me pause, which is the back rise. Can anyone speak to their experiences with this cut and whether the back rise has been ok for them or if the crack is on constant display? I've searched everywhere and cannot find too much info on this for whatever reason. Most of my pants are 14-15 in back rise, where the 777 back rise is 13 in my size (31). Any insight anyone can give would be greatly appreciated!

It sits low but at least on me not as low that it shows parts of my lower back no one wants to see, but I think that really depends on your body shape, I am wearing 31 too.

Missed your response earlier @Qinhan. S&S does carry M-43's. If they don't currently have your size I believe they can easily special order.

@paxmadam back rise has never been an issue for me. My pair is a 29.

OK IH ladies… My sis in law wants some warm/ heavy jeans... She's petite, doesn't know her size (I told her to measure her best fitting jeans), but I also don't really now where to start...
They don't have to be Iron Heart, but they also don't have to be dirtcheap... So just link me up to all you can think of...
Reminder: WARM... She's from Iran and HATES cold weather... Everything under 20C° is basically cold... So preferably anything lined with grizzly feckin bears...

alright so here goes. i've no idea what's causing these little holes in my tee shirts. i've started to notice they are becoming more apparent among quite a few. i'm inclined to say that it's (moth or silverfish?) not sure what those things are called that eat your clothes in your cupboard/drawers?
but coincidentally, they're only in the front which made me think that it could be my belt. however, i highly doubt my belt would be sharp enough to cause something like that.. so what would be the solution? also, i hate the smell of mothballs and such with that weird smell they cause in the cupboards after awhile..

Could it just be natural wear n tear?

My guess is critters. They only go for the things you like. A zegna suit for example..
-
I think you're right about the belt. The buckle doesn't have to be sharp edged to cause holes. I used to get the same thing- it was caused by leaning against counters at work. Move the buckle to one side and see if that fixes the problem.

high chance now that you mentioned this..
ooo. you know i can't rule the embers out but i'm can't be too sure about that or when it happened..
highly unlikely it's natural wear and tear. some tops i've worn a little less than others.
either ways, any recommendation on things to put in cupboard that might steer fabric eating critters away?

Cederwood blocks/shavings.
