not unpop @Heavy Duty , but I'm old

Seems like I should finally watch any Star Wars movie after all?! :o

Btw, ending on Return of the Jedi was so cringy after watching I, II and III
It was cringy to see this soulless CGI-mess (aka Episode I, II & III) after seeing Return of the Jedi.
Don't fall into the whole Star Wars hype, even though I loved the original three but this is very true….however much like the 'OG 3' the costuming was ace.

If one has managed quite nicely without a single dime ever spent on the Star Wars franchise (like me), it seems to me one can get on very well, thank you, just like that…

@Heavy Duty don't think anyone else cares.
we in the minority here, most people on this forum like to wear orthopedic boots and sneakers, trainers, what ever the heck you call them
okay, so I am trolling this thread just a little

I know that some of the US based folk may think otherwise and was trying to see if others would disagree.
ALWAYS trainers btw

Jordan III is the true classic for me, I used to collect but only went as high as number 6. The newer models look like bad science fiction shoes to me.

Oh and @UnTucked… watch the fkn movies in the order they were released
I watched them in Machete Order (IV, V, II, III, VI) after hearing my co-workers rave that it was the way to go (But, I added in Ep. I after IV and V).

Yeah I hear you. There is an undeniable sentimentality attached to most people and those first movies.

III was nice but there was always something about the V that just 'did' it. I've never owned any Jordan btw.

I give Evisu a pass ( not that i’d wear them myself) due to their pioneering importance to Japanese denim, plus the fact that Yamane-San is hilarious.
It’s probably not an unpopular opinion but I can’t believe you’re all ragging on these Japanese brands when Gustin, Lawless and Naked and Famous exist ???
Personally I'm not ragging on any Japanese brand as whole, just the momo battle stripes themselves. Their denims are nice and it almost makes me cry inside that they get ruined by those stripes.

The only thing that matters is DIE HARD. All other flicks can fuck off.

Agree. The cgi on War for the Planet of the Apes was fantastic, but on a lot of films like Star Wars it's horrible. Rogue One did a good job with fx though

As a body of work, it's decent… But, those original 3 really make it hard for anyone "new" to truly get in to it, MOSTLY because:
For a n00b, the most logical way to watch them is "episode order". The biggest problem with that is not plot reveals in the prequels, but rather how damn difficult it is to watch the original 3 after being spoiled with a decent script, decent acting, and watching the beautiful CG/special effects of the prequels.
They have a nostalgic appeal to me but that's about it, not really into the star wars thing overall. I agree with your sentiments though….when my 16 year old daughter watched some of the original 3 for the first time she had the same thoughts as you. I think her exact words were..."they are kind of cheesy".

They ruin some of their tops too by putting those stripes on the arms. I've seen decent pieces by them that i've wanted to try but passed on because of the stripes. They must employ somebody whose sole job is to say, "needs more stripes."
