Is it possible to hem the sleeve of this jacket easily ? I am planning to call railcar today to see if the ca perform alteration. I am interested in this jacket but sleeve length is killing it for meSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The arms will come up a little once you wear it and it starts creasing. You can also just flip up the cuffs.

@Mustafa911 you will lose at least .5” when the creases set in like @superfuzz says. Shortening the arms is possible but it is quite a big job. I find all IH type III’s long in the arm for me but I too just flip the cuffs over. I prefer it that way to getting them tailored.

@den1mhead, it's actually my son in the pic, but thanks. I think he wears it well. Together maybe we can break it in faster. It's still quite stiff.

^watch your wardrobe as I reckon your son will have it for himself

Looking for some sizing advice…
I have the IH-526Lod in Large and the fit is just about perfect. Shoulders about 18.5" straight across the front (forgot IH method was different), Chest ~21.6", Waist ~19.3", Opening ~19.2", Sleeve ~25.5"
The sleeves could be a touch longer but that's about it. If I got a Large in this jacket could I shrink it to around the Lod measurements, or would a Medium be better? Afraid the M would be too snug even if it never touched water though. Thanks!

The two jackets are same dimensions when we make them. The ones that get overdyed shrink a lot in the OD process. You could get the same shrinkage on the indigo one of you to give it severe grief in the wash. If you are more gentle with the wash you'll get less shrinkage…..,
