IHJ-35-BLK - Japanese Horsehide Rider’s Jacket - Black (Tea-Core Dyed)

Thanks all. I was surprised myself about how well size L fitted.
@manufc10 measurements table and pictures of Sam with this jacket. He is about the same size as I am, only my chest size is bigger. I was a little worried about that. I knew it would be a snug fit, maybe too snug… But it turned out quite well.
Size XL was too large. Thanks… So did size up/down/same as your normal IH shirt size? Sorry, should have been more clear in my question.
Jacket looks amazing on you.

Most of my shirts are size L, so same.

Just bought the SE version of this jacket and absolutely love it. I have a question about leather care, though. I know Aero say to do nothing at all with their horsehide jackets – no conditioner, no babying, just wear them hard. Is the same true for this jacket? If not, anything I should be doing now or in the future to take care of my investment? Thanks!

I can't stop looking at this jacket right now
-
You're doing that on purpose right? Looking at the measurements I know I would love that jacket.

Heads up - after 12 years of pretty static prices and in fact a couple of price reductions, we are having to increase the price of many of our items. We'll be doing this late July. This jacket is one of the items that will be affected
Didn't you have to raise prices after the spike in cotton prices in 2011? I think silver spiked around the same time. I guess the reductions undid those increases though.

How heavy and warm would you rate this leather and how soft do you think i can get?
-
Thanks. Yes, that's true. I figure it's not as heavy as FQHH, just thinking weather it will be a jacket for moderate temperatures (October) or rather cold months. It's really tempting.

@Max:

It's not very warm. It's thin leather and a thin lining. I would wear it between 7 and 20 deg, with a thicker base layer when cold and t shirt when warm.
-
You're pushing it eh?
Seriously, thank you. Do you own one personally?

It's not stiff like a FQHH Aero jacket. But it's not soft like goat skin either. It hasn't softened up too much in the 1.5 years I've had it.

I have the Self Edge version. You even commented on one of the pics I posted

Ah, I'm getting old obviously. Thanks a lot for the replies. I actually could use a jacket in that temperature range. But how to tell the wife? I need a strategy here…and might have to sell some items.

And by amazing present you think a child would count?
