That's who I thought it was at first too but then I Googled him and I still don't know who he is.

Not saying he is the most famous, but I believe the most consistently good.
@scooter - that was Bryan Adams, his Canadian brethren lol [emoji23]

I like a lot of out there Japanese brands but Human Made…..WTF..... Am I not getting the humor in it?

It’s an odd company, but one I really like.
Japan’s most iconic streetwear’s designer takes his try at workwear.
To me, it’s the opposite of Evisu, which was workwear and added steetwear elements to his garments and lines (oftentimes doing so badly.)
Nigo, has instead taken his streetwear history and giving it an old world vibe. Classic cuts, vintage garments, but with a bit of streetwear grit. I think the humor is making fun of the Japanese companies that “try” to be rockabilly like Samurai, so things are quite over the top - like the burger jacket.
ANNNNDDD since I stuck up for the brand, it’s proves you had a good unpop op haha

Nigo is batshit crazy, he’s an obsessive nerd and that’s what I love about him. Being honest 90% of what he’s ever made is awful at both Bape and Human Made, but the other 10% is just great clothing made from great materials with a particular Nigo twist.
If I had the money I would certainly go back and collect much of the early Bape stuff (circa 1995-98). Same with Wtaps and to a lesser degree Neighborhood.

Yep. Human Made gets a pass for me. And I used to be a Bape fanboy circa '99-00. Donated all my shit to the thriftstore a few yrs back. I guess i'm old. I now reflect on those days and ask myself wtf was I thinking?

i'm quite the fan of the materials NIGO uses for his human made stuff like tees and sweatshirts. it reminds me a lot of the reverse weave that champion japan uses. the designs thought, are quite subjective, but i've got a soft spot for graphic tees.
not quite the big fan of BAPE. never understood their culture. but if i could go back, some earlier visvim pieces are what i'll collect..

See I never got Visvim. Hilariously expensive and not even made in Japan, i’m guessing exclusivity and the aesthetic was the appeal but I just found their footwear fugly.

Yep, same here.

Also agree. To me Visvim is one of the most overrated/overpriced brands out there that isn't considered "high fashion". That said, a number of the shirts the brand carries I do like and would probably buy one if found for 50% or less of retail.
