Nigo is batshit crazy, he’s an obsessive nerd and that’s what I love about him. Being honest 90% of what he’s ever made is awful at both Bape and Human Made, but the other 10% is just great clothing made from great materials with a particular Nigo twist.
If I had the money I would certainly go back and collect much of the early Bape stuff (circa 1995-98). Same with Wtaps and to a lesser degree Neighborhood.

I like a lot of out there Japanese brands but Human Made…..WTF..... Am I not getting the humor in it?

Yep. Human Made gets a pass for me. And I used to be a Bape fanboy circa '99-00. Donated all my shit to the thriftstore a few yrs back. I guess i'm old. I now reflect on those days and ask myself wtf was I thinking?

i'm quite the fan of the materials NIGO uses for his human made stuff like tees and sweatshirts. it reminds me a lot of the reverse weave that champion japan uses. the designs thought, are quite subjective, but i've got a soft spot for graphic tees.
not quite the big fan of BAPE. never understood their culture. but if i could go back, some earlier visvim pieces are what i'll collect..

See I never got Visvim. Hilariously expensive and not even made in Japan, i’m guessing exclusivity and the aesthetic was the appeal but I just found their footwear fugly.

Yep, same here.

Also agree. To me Visvim is one of the most overrated/overpriced brands out there that isn't considered "high fashion". That said, a number of the shirts the brand carries I do like and would probably buy one if found for 50% or less of retail.

To clarify, much of their most expensive stuff (footwear) was made in Korea. I have seen this with my own eyes at their ridiculously pretentious shop behind the Gucci store, off the Main Street in Harajuku.

… Japanese companies that “try” to be rockabilly like Samurai...
Samurai is far from trying to be rockabilly. Are you confusing them with The Flat Head or Dry Bones?
Samurai has always been about Japanese car and motorcycle culture.

i'm not aware of past prices as the past stuff i bought were mostly off the second hand market and got a good deal on them.
out of all the visvim footwear i have, only 1 is made in japan. that would be their fbt sashiko which i got in pink. the rest i've got i'm assuming is china which he has quite a production factory there as well. the older made in korea ones are known to have the soles detach after some time with the fbt.
their current prices now are extremely ridiculous. both domestic (japan) and internationally. there's maybe 2 or 3 items that i absolutely love each season. the rest are absolute crap. there was a time where in japan, their prices are at least 1/3 the prices internationally but that's not the case anymore.
With his Indigo Camping Trailer(ICT) stuff, that's a whole different story.

I have a Visvim 20L pack & Veggie wallet. Both are nice but not worth what I paid for them. On that note, I think the pack has gone up almost $200 since I bought mine.

Other children's parents are all fuckwits…that includes you, and me in relation to my own son. I don't want to run a fascist state or anything, but please, at least control them within the bounds of relatively acceptable social parameters...and don't give then a fucking i-baby sitter in a restaurant just because otherwise they would interfere with your bullshit chat over a prosecco.
