Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?

Gotta increase the price for the crew though surely
-
Model/Lot number for the forum jean could be IWHWIH

Some unique pocket bags would be cool. Plus the arcs and patch
I'm behind @spitfiredealer 's idea.

maybe do a poll
Seems like the sensible thing to do. Too many people with preferences that might not suit others.
I personally like the idea of:
1. Special arcs (not sure of color but nothing garish)
2. Cool patchI’m on the fence about pocket bags and what weight of denim should be used. I like the idea of a 777 cut, but agree that a poll might be the best option.

Would peeps consider a 666 ?? Sorta in the middle…?

666 is probably the only cut I wouldn’t be down for

Have you ever done a cord work trouser? Would definitely be cool IMO

I like the pocket bags and patch idea, not sure how I feel about the arcs unless they were tonal. I’d of course prefer the 666 cut if we had to pick a cut but I imagine a poll would be the way to go to determine which cut. But super cool pocket bags and patch would be awesome.
I imagine a forum-specific denim (available in a few different cuts like 555-666-888) rather than a forum-specific model would be out of the question?

It would be tough to have a cut that was accessible to all. I can't squeeze into the thigh on 666, and hang out of the top of a 777…everyone has their story. For that reason, I'd say go with a classic 634! The cut is the most universal (though current iterations have gotten slimmer in the thigh...ouch.) The hipsters who can't hang with a straight cut might learn a thing or two if they could bring themselves to buy in. (And this from someone who strongly prefers a good taper).

@Filthy:

This is my favorite idea yet.

The hem on the 634 would swallow my feet [emoji53]

I'm in for any cut of a forum jean, so long at it's the 888.
Also, let me state that I have little interest in patches or pockets. If these are the special tweaks a forum jean gets, and I don't yet have that fabric, then I'll buy of course, but it won't do anything for me. I'd be far more interested in a special treatment, or fabric. Like, a loomstate but with a post dunk in Giles' bathtub or some such. Or an overdye in boddingtons or whatever you brits drink.
Let me also say that you should absolutely not listen to a word I say. 9 times out of 10 my favorite items end up in the outlet (I still buy them 3 min after release), so I'm about as #unpopularopinions as you can possible get and still be interested in coming back here.

Since it is clear no one cut will suit all of us, maybe we can agree to start off with a widely accommodating cut (is 634 the right one?) and we each get our pair modified to our own preference. If we do it with a really unique fabric and details (arcs, pockets bags, patch, GAH rivets) it will remain ‘the forum denim’ regardless of our individual tailoring. It may provide a good basis for a thread showingcasing different combos, fades and evos.
Just my 0.02!

Pick the cut, that's the bastard….
If the goal is to address a wide range of customers with a single cut i would guess the best thing to do is weed out all extremes (high rise, low rise, super slim, wide hem, …). This would leave a jean with a medium rise, some room in the thigh (not like recent 666 iterations!) and a moderate taper. Something along the lines of Pronto's tapered cut models (PIHXHS, PIH5DCT, PIH10ANT). Here are the numbers for my personal pair
W: 33
FR: 11
RR: 15
TH: 12,25
KN: 8,5
H: 7,5heavyweigth fabric (20oz+) with special character, indigo wabash pocket bags, tonal stitching and a forum patch
