IH-555-02 - 18oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo
-
The two cuts are different. The BB’s have only a mild taper while the 555’s have a more defined taper and are narrower than BB’s down the entire leg. They are meaningfully narrower below the knee. Shrinkage has nothing to do with this as the material will shrink proportionally.

I pulled the trigger on these during the sale. Can’t wait to try these beauties on

Great choice. Let us know how it goes.

I wonder why there are so many left of these. It's a beautiful denim in a nice modern cut.
Same. I was worried with the sale my size might sell out. Glad it didn’t

Pre-soak fit pics. I think I detect a little diaper butt (obviously a hem is needed)

Think the indigo is starting to go a little faster. Have heard that tends to happen around a year in the 18 oz and I'm closing in on a year…
-
Wow. A lot hs changed in the last month or month and a half. Really starting to fade…

12 months, one wash. -
Oh yes this is a beautiful denim. My pair arrived yesterday. I'll try for some pre soak pics tonight.

Thanks to you @Stuart.T I finally pulled the trigger and got a pair of these(during the Xmas sale) Really great, totally love the denim, which I'm pretty sure is the Raw version of the denim used on my IHSH-177 As close as I'll probably get to a Denim Tux,unless I get down to Selfedge and try on a Type II.

Took this about a month ago and forgot to post!
Left is Samurai 710 19 oz at 25 months (pretty decent quality, but had a grand total of 65 repairs by my wife by 25 months!), middle is Oni something or other 21 oz at 13 months (just terrible quality denim, had my first tearing at 2 or 3 months), right is IH-555-02 at 14 months. The IHs are by far the most stubborn denim I've ever worn and the only pair to not have had a repair inside a year. -
-
Finally put some repairs into these at ~16 months of wear. My wife put 3 patches in and did a great job of it, as usual.
