Sorry for all the posts, I have been trying to upload my original fit fics pre soak…apparantly there is a problem with my upload. Here are a few from today at 5 months, 1 hot soak, 0 washes.

I think the 666 will be too snug in the thigh. I have actually had my eye on the 888 for a while now. I love the fit of these 510s except i find the leg opening a touch wide.

Nice! Did you go TTS ?

How are the IH better constructed? I know about the difference between full cotton stitching and poly-cotton but I assume there must be something else?
I'm a noob and cannot see how my IH are better constructed than my Samurais, I'm probably missing out.
i am noob too but i think that both Samurai and IH are very high end quality. I have read that Samurais are a bit slubbier but that is just personal taste IMHO

I am waiting for my pre-ordered s710xx 19oz from denimio, can't wait
Cool beans, nice to see an actual Samurai-related post in the Samurai thread for a change.
The S710 is the all time greatest cut ever for me, hope you find it to your liking.
Yeah i really can't wait, i have high expectactions as these would be my first raw japanese denim pair as i only had fake assured quality rich signatures jeans till now

Polycotton stitching for starters.

Dont get me wrong I love my 25oz 510s. Like i said earlier only issue was leg twist and broken threads. Next pair is def going to be IH

Samurai churn out a number of different fabrics, all of them unsanforized, most on the heavier side, some slubbier than others.
@beautiful_FrEaK owns or has owned probably a few pairs in each Samurai denim and could no doubt explain the minute differences between them, but I believe learning about the 19oz first-hand will be the most rewarding experience for you for now.

I mentioned the different stitching, which is a choice not directly related to quality of construction; what else is there? "Better construction all over", this is what interests me.

In my limited experience with Samurai, they make amazing denim, cut beautifully. But my Samurai fell apart a lot quicker than any of my IH have done.
Samurai use cotton thread in construction and it failed on me. They do this for authenticity. IH doesn’t worry about that level of authenticity and prefer to use thread that is best for the job.
Edit: just saw your last post. Thread is really quite vital to constructing clothing. All over.

I’ll give you one more example. Samurai’s denim, as lovely as it is, is constructed to fade and age and garner a certain aesthetic with wear. Use it in a harsh environment (as I did) and it wears out surprisingly quickly. A lot quicker than IH 21oz or 25oz. That is just my experience of course, but I assume it has something to do with the thinking behind the design of the fabric as well.
