Our Cars (dream or actual)

Happy you guys and gals found my trustworthy Toyota interesting!
@Chris - I misstated the engine specs…she’s actually a 3700 cc inline 4 cyl diesel. No turbo. The engine is so strong she gets the same mileage whether empty or fully loaded: 16 km/liter. And the mirror was lost after this mishap
She was fully loaded then. We spent two hours offloadind, righting her and loading back up. That happened in a deep rut; luckily the dirt banks kept us at 45 degrees. She is less stable after I modified by bringing the leaf suspension from attaching under the axles to on top of them. Did that to reduce the frequency of getting stuck in deep mud. That modif and the extra large tires made me pay a price in stability.
She doesn’t spend much time on roads so mirrors aren’t essential but I’ll soon get her one!
@Sage954 - Toyota stopped building these in Brazil around 2003. They reckoned they would never be able to comply with upcoming emissions standards.
I’ll be carrying lumber in her in a few weeks. I’ll try to get a nice pic to post here.

Nice truck! Reminds me of a Mercedes Unimog, in a good way!

what's the dyno figures in awhp?

what's the dyno figures in awhp?
I am in Laos and the car is in Chesterfield, UK. I am receiving limited info via email and Instagram (scoobyclinic). I received the image today, which I posted, but none of the Dyno data. The car is now to be driven on local roads at engine rpm < 3000 for 1000 miles. I am due to collect the car mid Feb.

Your horn needs hiding, @den1mhead (pardon the phrasing).
The one on my old Impreza was shocking. Sounded like Road Runner with a lung full of helium. Think it’s a Japanese thing.

It’s dreadful. Not a clue what they were thinking.

Maybe this belongs in unpop ops but I really dig the new BMW design language. While it’s missing the sleek designs of years past, it brings back a gritty allure than originally drew me to the brand on comparison to merc and Audi

That 7 Series looks more like a Lincoln than a Bimmer.
BMW periodically have design misses. For instance, the angular styling the introduced around the 2003 timeframe wasn't terribly attractive. Usually the marquis marques make slow, understated changes, so when they don't, it is jarring. Even Rolls-Royce is guilty of this with cars that share that Chrysler-esque grill (understanding that the mimicry goes both ways).
I think Mercedes have been pretty good about iterating on designs and retaining a balance between familiarity of design language and making the prior model years look dated. Not an easy thing to do, but one expects it of BMW. Disappointing miss.

Good point buddy. I hadn't really noticed it until now. I will either move it or do as LB suggested and install a better horn.
