@madmonday I've said this before, although possibly only in pm's, but I really believe that this forum is a worthwhile place to devote my time and energy to. On an internet that otherwise tends towards the petty, the obnoxious and the divisive here we have a small, relatively diverse community that comes together to create something positive. It's a haven compared to the shite and bile that gets spewed forth on the big social media platforms and larger forums and it all revolves around a shared love of a clothing brand. I can stand behind that.
As for my twenty or so kids, you know I don't get out much, or have a life otherwise, so between them and my wife I need the escape [emoji1]. Thank you for the shout out, means a lot.
@Seul kiss my chocolate starfish, gorgeous

Celebrity death news normally would never inspire me to post something, but Albert Finney's today does.
I had the greatest respect for him. A class act as an actor, and a true character in life.
Just a few tidbits from his obituary : several standout performances that assure him a lasting place in film and theatre history. The angry young man in "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning", his ingenious Hercule Poirot in "Murder on the Orient Express", his husband to Audrey Hepburn in "Two for the Road", the drastic depiction of an alcoholic in "Under the Volcano", his late bit in "Skyfall", not least his part in the underrated "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead", in which, incidentally, he wore nicely faded Levi's "granddad" jeans.
A refused CBE and a refused knighthood. Several Oscar nominations, to which he never went, considering the ceremonies a waste of time.
Rest in peace, Albert Finney. You were one of the greats, and you will not be forgotten. -
Stinking hippies, hoedown cowboys, sweaty punks, gun toting patriots, hairy rockers, slick soulboys/gals, bleeding heart liberals, neo-conservatives, loony left, racist right, they have all worn denim throughout our social histories and we are all (well almost) represented as members on this excellent forum that is about so much more than the clothing we share a love for. Difference is easy to find, you have to look a little harder for what is shared.
So that we don't give the amazing moderators even more work, can we all agree to stop, or at least massively reduce, the amount of passive aggressive tit for tat that the internet can provoke.
I read your posts everyday and without fail I'm in awe of what you all achieve, whether overcoming adversity, reaching personal successes, relationships, birth of children etc.
You are all amazing and all deserve mutual respect…peace and love from a stinking hippie, sweaty punk, bleeding heart liberal, fellow denim lover xx

Respect to the IH Crew for hemming & shipping an order Wednesday the same day it was placed ,arriving in the States two days later. You guys (and @Madame Buttonfly) are pros.

And while I'm at it thanks to a certain Welsh emigre terrorizing the student population of a Nordic country. You're wicked helpful and knowledgeable @neph93 and there is probably nothing seedy about the amount of time you spend loitering in bogs. Damnit, I was trying to be nice.

I make it all up as I go along mate, normally while hanging around in men’s restrooms.
Thank you though, I appreciate it.

^Some of us are trying to work here mate!..
18C° and sunny today?.. Time for mad dicers and a spot of the ole literature!..
Rules:
-
a dicer
(pronounced DIC-AH) is a mix of Strongbow "hard" (read: shite) cider and gin poured into your maddest vessel. The appropriate time to drink a dicer
is as soon as you get up, after breakfast, and before or/ and after a shower.
-
literature wise a bit of Tom Sharpe oughta do… Start with Wilt...
-
clothing wise... Well: a 10 year old pair of IH shorts will suffice...
Enjoy. Don't take anything seriously. Have a dicer
, have a laugh, have a great day.

^those shorts look great

We were in our local coffee shop yesterday, in the small town of Hockley, Essex where we live, and met a really nice guy named Mark wearing his new UHR IH jeans. That has never happened before.

Excellent! Tell your wife and friends that they came from an abandoned house in one of the worst parts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Right around the corner from where this picture was taken.

That place looks scary as fuck ???
I’ll prefer to think of them as authentic vintage Americana
