Guitars anyone???

Hm, I thought it was suspicious they'd have something like that in the office right across from a "Catch Me If You Can" poster signed by Frank Abagnale. Maybe he sold it to them
Damnit! Why would they make something like this?

LOL… it has an “authenticity guarantee”. What the hell does that even mean?!

"we" "guarantee" that it "is/n't" "authentic"

New Guitar Day
I've never owned a Gretsch, but it's still on my must-have list.
Is yours the Country Gentleman model ?
-
No, it’s the Electromatic series G5422T. I love this guitar, but it’s kind of a specialized niche guitar for me, I’ll only be using it for specific things where I need “that” sound. So it was impossible to justify spending multiple thousands for the Country Gentleman. I got this at a steal for way under $1000, so at that price it was hard to pass up but I still struggled a bit with pulling the trigger. Glad I did though, it’s an awesome guitar.

Nobody told me these Gretsch’s are like rabbits.

Nice guitar ! Enjoy [emoji41]

Haha where do I start?

I recommend spaying/neutering your Gretsch guitars, folks. Don’t be like me. The Sweetwater Stork informed me today that I should be expecting a new arrival this week:

@xtcclassic That looks amazing. I played a Gretsch G6122T-62 Chet Atkins once but man they're just so damn big. Same goes for the ES-335. Telecasters are the one for comfort IMO (regardless of your opinion of Fender!)

Oh I’m a longtime Tele player, if I could only have one guitar it would be a Tele. This Gretsch thing is a fairly new thing to me. I bought my first one less than a year ago. I’ve had my Tele for 20 years or so.

@xtcclassic Never saw the update post mods.
How you getting on with it? I am looking for a new telecaster atm..

Since that pic was taken, I’ve replaced the pickups with TV Jones (Setzer bridge and Classic neck) and replaced the stock bridge with a stainless steel Tru-Arc. It sounds absolutely amazing now, it’s tied with my Tele as my number one. Never thought I’d see that happen. Here it is now:

I accidentally bought 2 guitars off eBay the other day… ::)
Hopefully, @AdamJ will buy one off me (no pressure) so I don't feel so stupid. Pics will follow but they're just a couple of Squire Telecasters as I'm looking to get back into playing and didn't want to go crazy. Plus I planning up upgrading the pickups and electronics. That is all. -
The only thing better than a Telecaster is another Telecaster.
