Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades

Nice @Clint_D didn't know they made a white version, or manufacturers made parts to customize it that much, very nice. Mines bone stock, but a great knife.

Man… I've been on the fence about buying a Yo 2 so many times! That one with the white custom scales and blue hardware looks particularly great! The only issue I've heard about with the Yo 2 is that the tip is very close to the end of the scales when in the closed position. I read of one person's experience of reaching into his pocket to draw out the knife and accidentally cutting his finger on the tip of the blade in the closed position. That doesn't sound great. Plus, I just have to convince myself that I really have no need for another knife at present. Except for maaaaybe a Spyderco ARK for summer use. That might be nice.

My EDC has a new brother Rex.

Wasn't looking for another Hinderer, but this one followed me home.
I got it second hand, but NIB from a guy who really needed to move it for a unexpected expense so I got the whole thing(ti scale gen 6 on bearings etc for significantly less than retail)
The new updated pivot system is really nice and making me look at XMs again[emoji4]

Massdrop exclusive delica. Unique coated lockbar, supergold2 clad in 410 stainless. The Delica is my favorite edc pattern knife, probably have a dozen at this point.
-
Nice! Almost looks like a hamon line on there @tvenuto
-
Yea it’s due to the cladding, the line is where the 410 gives way to the SG2 core which actually cuts. It’s razor sharp from the factory too, which is always nice.
Interesting that they went with a clad design on this one. SG2 is a stainless steel, and I’ve usually seen cladding with the carbon steel folders (Superblue, Hap40). Perhaps the high wear resistance makes a clad one cheaper to grind.
-
I figured it was clad. I have a little Ohta friction folder that is clad in a very dramatic, hamon-like fashion. It's a cool look and certainly practical for some applications, like high carbon core and stainless clad for a cooking knife.

Sweet knife. I almost jumped in on that drop. Delica has been my favorite Spyderco so far.
I just picked up their Ikuchi flipper. Carbon fiber G10 scales and a slim design. I need to switch the clip to lefty.

That Ikuchi looks great. Big fan of full flat grinds and compression locks. I also like that you can open it like you're lighting a Zippo with your thumb. Kinda fun.

Heinnie Haynes x Spyderco UKPK
Not owned a Spyderco before and as a result, never understood the hype. Consider me converted!
Amazing quality, razor sharp and safety stop on it is very solid indeed!

Very nice. I'm not usually into slippies since I live in 'murica, but I do like the red G10. I'll definitely be getting the AEB-L Urban, though, since I've been harassing them to make a knife in AEB-L for years. I blade swapped a SE delica into the red trainer handle to get a red delica, which is one of my most carried knives.

Kinda went off the other day on bladeforums.com…

I have one by Gerstner but it’s pretty full. The HF one looks pretty nice, how’s the quality? Good buys all around.

New knife for my bunker pants pocket. My old Byrd rescue folder wasn't locking up properly anymore, which was a fine excuse to upgrade to a Spyderco Jumpmaster

it's alright
its definitely no gerstner. its good enough for the 79.99 price tag. the hardwares kinda cheesey. but the wood its self seems okay. it's not pressed partical board or anything so thats nice.
i looked around for vintage ones, but they were all 350 or more and all needed relining. this was a short drive to the states for me which i had to make anyways
i'd recommend it -
