IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo

Well, I was really unsure about getting a 3XL or a 4XL but I ordered a 4XL. The shoulders feel pretty big… What do you guys think? Should I exchange for a 3XL or do a super hot soak?
-
Hot soak or wear layers under like a hoody? Or UHF?

Size down

I would most likely only be wearing a t shirt and flannel or western shirt under this because I live in Arizona. I haven't soaked it yet because I'm not sure if I should try a 3XL.

Thanks fellas, I agree. I'm going to try the next size down. I can't believe how rugged this fabric is. Looking forward to the right fit!
-
Sized down one to my normal Iron Heart shirt size of 3XL. The fit is great. I'm pretty sure this is the last type 3 I'll ever need.
-
Thanks @neph93 I'm loving the 666D. Now to master the art of getting this thing buttoned…

Ha. I'd bet good money it won't be the last one you want, though - or get. I said the same and now have 7 from IH.

You're not wrong!
If they ever make a longer whipcord type 3 I'll probably grab it. Sometimes I'm glad I'm tall and have a long torso because it keeps me from buying one of everything.

Trying my hardest to break this one in! Best fitting Type III I have ever had.
-
@mitchellvilla looks solid. This jacket is a tank. On an unrelated note I follow your art on Instagram. Nice to see other painters who appreciate Iron Heart.

Family pictures. Still trucking along, slowly but surely.

@Palmer I particularly like the cheery face matched with your hat in the resized picture. Well done, both. Would anyone here with a 14-2 Type III and the 21oz care to draw out some comparisons. I think this lefty is the one for me.

I can't comment on those other jackets, but if you're looking for a suit of armor that's very warm with the texture and rigidity of carpet, look no further.

Thank you @chubacca. From what I see this particular fabric lends itself to lots of honeycomb and fade possibilities that are just stellar. I'm aiming for a Type III that isn't just another like all the many many I have had since my first (somewheres around 1969, when I was 12. I'm pretty sure my brother had one from about 1963, a year after its introduction as I recall.)
