IHSB-C3 - Iron Heart Int'l x Simmons Bilt C3 Style Shearling Vest - Brown/Brown

@redgreen @madmoses thanks gents.
This vest may be the favourite bit of clothing I own. I have to say the quality of the sheepskin, construction and finishing is incredible. It was 50F today and I was toasty like this. I can wear it over an IH hoodie and thermal underwear with UHR or 25oz and stay warm at 30F (with appropriate hat and gloves of course [emoji1])

I hear ya, it's a great piece.
And it has a very primal essence to it, like really REALLY old fashioned work wear. I think it could work as a prop for any number of movies or television shows. That's not to say it's too "costume-y" for every day wear though, I really fancy it. I think it's overall design looks like a classic wardrobe staple that you never knew you were missing, like IH wabash, for example. -
Product link to store not showing up on my page.
(I'm thinking about Christmas presents…for me.)

Ah, gotcha. Thanks Alex.

The product details says @Sam wears medium, while in the pictures he wears this over an IHJ-35.
Is he really wearing a size M over the 35? Looking at the measurements I would think he wears L over the 35 and M over a shirt… -
I think the fit is ok.

I tried these on when I was in Gosport. I’m an XL in IH shirts and I tried the XL and L vests. I found the L ok with just a tee shirt, but even that was a little trim. I could wear the XL comfortably with a flannel and undershirt and will go with that one day. My conclusion is, go with your shirt size.
You got the XL eventually @neph93 ?

Thanks @neph93. I feel the same way about my size L.
The main reason for me to order this vest was for wearing it over my 35 while riding my motorcycle. But now I got it I find it's such a great vest, I would like to wear it all the time! With one layer the vest feels a little too big but with multiple layers like wabash or denim, the size is good.
Also as AdamC mentioned, with a smaller size comes shorter length. Not good if you are wearing an untucked shirt. -

I think the length was the important thing for me too. The chest if the L could fit over layers but as you say too much going on beneath the end of the vest is odd.
I just saw your shot of it over. Type III on WAYWT and it looks very, very good.
One tip, start conditioning the leather now, before it even looks like drying out. I use the Chamberlain stuff that IHUK sells.

…it has darkened the pockets and taping in a very pleasing way.
True. I used Obenauf’s and I like it even better now!
