Good buddy of mine is closing his shop here in StL and had a pair or two of snuff Chelseas left. I’m not a huge fan of the Gloxi soles but I’ll give them a try and if they dont work out I’ll resole them down the line. They are insanely comfortable and sneaker-like and easy to pop on. Got them for a good deal and am looking forward to breaking them in.

^I absolutely love those… I love the Gloxi sole... I realise that's probably an unpop-op but what the hey... Great score, Anesthesist...
And I just picked up me new Vibbies at work... They are absolutely FABULOUS... Fit like a glove (already have a pair of 8/ 2030 last so knew they would), 98% new, and sleek/ stylish as fuck.
Bring on winter...

These hot summer days have me pining for cold weather… And heavy clothing...

@Filthy Just for reference, I generally wear a 10.5 or 11 in running shoes. I have some 2045 service boots in size 9, and they fit wonderfully. They started a little tight across the top of my feet, but I have a high instep to begin with. Hope you enjoy them!
What leather are these, please? I need some!

Looks like bison to me

Viberg Stallions just arrived a couple days ago. It finally cooled down enough yesterday to try them out. I've wanted these for a few years now. I have a similar pair of Red Wing Pecos but the Vibergs are just a different level in my opinion. Here they are with the IH-XHSib

Hard to beat the relaxing effect of lying in a hammock with your feet up after a two hour bike ride up the mountains.
These IHxViberg hikers have become my motorcycle companions as they are still the best fit for my slowly de-swelling right foot. I bought them off @Appfaff and they quickly proved themselves a great buy.

Surprising they had two previous owners before I got them; they were nearly mint condition! I really like the tough & thick but supple feel of the oil tan leather.

The boots that keep on giving!!!
I will admit, I am OCD about how boots are kept so they were thoroughly cleaned, brushed, and sprayed before my use, and then brushed before sending your way

^^^ Yeah those are real nice…

Snapped a pic of the Wild Ones for all IH day.

I ended up ripping out the arch support in my Vibergs. Even after months of wear they were still uncomfortable and the arch support was too narrow so my foot would fall over the edge of it and into the gap between the sole and the upper leather.
I got these sheepskin and foam insoles from ebay but they were too thick in the toe box… so the boot was too tight. But I squished the foam flat to a taper with my plywood and clamps. I used a long pipe to get enough mechanical advantage to get the clamps tight enough. I was going to use a bottle jack press to squeeze it even more. But this worked great.
I sized the insoles up one size and got extra wide and then cut the front down a tad to fit the toe box. I used cardboard to male a template to get the fit just right. I left the area near the arch and heel uncut so it is extra wide. Now the boots are much more comfortable now.
I am very happy with how they feel now. You can still feel the heel. But now that the insole is flat, they are so much better.
