Hmm Network Locations affects network settings in differing physical locations, but can't see how that would be linked to the trackpad or accessability settings….
maybe try and remove the plist files as specified here:

to be fair, the new macbook trackpad runs electronically (electromagnetic). think electromagnets.
when your macbook pro is turnoff, the area is flat and you can't press it at all because there is no current. realistically speaking, if it's working at home, and both functions work, you know that it is not a hardware or software functions. now i'm not an expert on what can interfere with electromagnetic currents, but if you look into that and narrow it down to where you work in the office, i'm sure you'll find the solution there.

@louisbosco Disappointed with the Watch upgrade.. and the've discontinued the v4 and dropped the v3 to make the entry points more visible.
Probs just gonna get a 4 off eBay. Not fussed about the phone!
-
I'm relieved, since I just bought wifey a shiny new 4
The Watch is so good that it has changed my opinion on wearables and tempted me back to the Apple walled garden. Android really is so behind on the wearables front.

yeah it didn't really changed much. but i suppose with a watch as opposed to a phone, it's hard to keep upgrading YoY. 4, heck, even 3 is going to be as good as it gets. of course 4 with the ECG and health functions is pretty decent..
not sure if you can find any leftovers from electronic shops that stock apple products. maybe currys or something along those lines…

I think a wearable may be fundamentally more difficult to have sweeping hardware updates for that larger form factors, and even iPhone updates are often more incremental/evolutionary than revolutionary. But always-on display and compass aren't too trivial for an incremental update.
-
This year's iPhones feel like another S-update with some improvements but with the same design overall. Not bad but also nothing special. Next year will be pretty interesting because Apple will (most likely) adopt 5G, USB-C, a new design and new form factors. Should be a neat package.
-
USB-C would be great–that proprietary charger is bullshit, yet one more proprietary charger to deal with is not a good consumer experience.
-
not looking forward to 5G as it's still very early stages and chews through data fairly quickly.. and i can be certain countries like australia will be late adopters. bear in mind that we have slower internet speed than most african 3rd world countries in africa.. tbh, i can't be arsed with usb-c as well. i've a usb-c to lightning and that's good enough for me as i can charge with that and connect it to my macbook with it..
i've gotten a 11pro to replace my X. i used to use Plus phones but i didn't feel the need to go back to a bigger size this time as they're the same usage wise. unlike the past where plus phones had the extra camera.
what i'd really love to see is a true dual sim like they sell in china. this time, i can't be arse trying to source one from china. i'd also love to see when they would introduce an under-screen touch ID in conjunction with face ID. i'm pretty happy with the current form. only thing i can see improve is a transparent screen like one of those tony stark has..
-
I just got the 11 Pro and facial recognition is worth the price of entry. The fingerprint recognition never worked well for me since my hands are usually sweaty or dirty
The camera is pretty impressive too. Took a photo of my dog in a dark room and it looks like a well lit photo
Downgraded the size from the plus model (I had the 8 plus). I already carry so much shit with me I’m trying to save on weight and pocket space
-
Interesting the growing trend for people to now opt for the smaller sizes…..

yeah. that's quite
i was gonna get the XS max (from china or hk) and upgrade from my X last year because of the 2 physical sim slots but decided against it and broke my yearly new iphone streak. However his year, i decided to stick with the 11pro size rather than the pro max because i felt comfortable and saw no reason to get a bigger phone. weirdly enough, i used to use the all Plus models from 6 onwards.. the 11pro has the bigger screen of the Plus models in a smaller packaging which to me is good enough..

Question for you iphone experts, I have an iphone 7 and have been trying to update to OS13. Unfortunately, when I try to update/install I keep getting an error message and it won't let me follow through. Is it not updating because I have an older iphone or is it something simple like crappy wi-fi?
-
@gaseousclay Could be poor wi-fi signal. Are you connected to a charger when trying to do so?
-
I'm not connected to a charger.
-
good wifi and charger is a good way to update via phone. otherwise just plug it into your computer and update it from itunes/ finder (if you're on catalina already)
-
Thanks, I’ll try that
