cant wait!

@paul9221 I'm encouraged to hear that you've seen significant stretch with your 888s in the past. I'm on a day 1 with a pair now…roughly how many wears was it before you experienced significant stretch in the waist and thigh?
Man, they stretched TOO fast. I'll see if I can dig up my numbers but I think the thigh stretched out 0.5" in two days. Same with the waist.
-
@paul9221 Yowza, that is fast!
I bought some 888s in size 31, and after just the first wear I knew in my heart of hearts that they were going to be too big on me in the end. Rocking some 30s now, and while I'm confident they will loosen and stretch, the thighs and waist are a bit snug right now. Been wearing them for only about 2 hours, and I can at least feel the waist starting to give and soften a bit.

The 21oz is famous for it’s stretch. All denim jeans will loosen and relax, normally around an inch, because of its construction the 21oz gives in quickly and meaningfully. Between one and two inches in the waist. Thigh stretch is harder to come by and happens proportionally, so on a small pair there will be less, however they will loosen up. Depending on your activity level you should notice a marked difference after five days of wear. After two weeks you’ll be done.

The same thing happened to me. I ordered a size 32 and they fit a tad big right away. Not loose but not tight. I learned a while back that IH denim needs to be tight at first for it to eventually fit perfectly. Sure enough, within 2 days, it was too loose. So yeah, I'm going to list that pair for sale.

Alright, time to fit-check these bad boys.
I sent these off to Indigo Proof for a slight taper from the knee down to a 7" opening for wear with service boots and Chelseas. I was very pleased with the outcome of the work.
These have seen 1.5 days of wear so far.
I think I'm pleased with the fit, though I will say the thighs are a tad snug and the portion of the jean I am most eager to see loosen and relax. I know thighs change the least, but even a bit of loosening in that area would go a long way. It's less of a fit issue, and more of a feel issue…if that makes any sense.
I think due to the rigidness of the new fabric combined with snug thighs, there is what appears to be some extra room in the knees that too my OCD eye looks a bit pronounced at the moment. I am hoping with time and wear the fabric will relax and the jeans will stack slightly toward the bottom opening. It would help too to have a bit more room in the thigh to alleviate the appearance of extra room in the knee.
What do y'all think? Did I do ok?

I’d ask again after two weeks of wear. Things will change.
That being said the the top block and upper thigh look great to me. Snug at the start is good.
Full disclosure so as to avoid offence, tapering and other meaningful adjustments to cuts just isn’t my thing, regardless of how good Rain is (and she is very good). I don’t get it and I’m negatively predisposed to it so take the following with a pinch of salt.
I’d suggest the room in the knee is a consequence of the adjustment that has been made. No reflection on Indigo Proof, but changing finely calibrated designs can have unwanted consequences. They still look like a well fitted pair of jeans to me though. Enjoy!
EDIT: I’ll reiterate that the way the jeans break and fall will change as the fabric softens so post again after a few weeks. Things will change including the knees.

I'm happy with how these are fitting fresh out of the bag. I could go a size down but frankly I am too old for that shit

It really seems to be an outstanding cut! Plenty of room where I want it and not so much extra where I don't!! Nicely done (again) IH Crew!!!
And the extra deep pockets are just f'n icing on the cake!!!

Speaking of, yes, there are two now. My son is 6 and my daughter is 3, and they are both about to turn.I guess I could size down since I don't want any more chillins??
Hope all is well with you MadMan!! Much love to you and yours!!

Hey guys.
Anybody got these and the 634s 21oz.
If so, did you take the same size in both.
Cheers. -
