Watches - another OCD problem
-
Since I'm not in Blancpain territory, I'll have to settle for a more budget friendly variation, I guess.
-
No, that is definitely not what I'd buy…
And I have to say, remarkably outside the norm for Patek, which is generally quite tasteful.
-
Ah, I know that feeling…
There are some aspects of it that I like, but to me, the whole is definitely less than the sum of the parts.

This is my Mido Iconè.
With ETA 80 Si.
Accuracy is impressive I never owned a more accurate mechanical watch.
Price-Performance-Ratio is perfect IMO
-
One of my pet peeves in watches is bad case to dial ratio. I dislike big watches with tiny dials. This is the exact opposite of that problem, which makes it great, in my opinion.
-
I’m with you @Chris which is why I like my Nomos and Junghans Max Bill so much. The dials extends just shy of the edge of the case. The hands are also the right size which is another peeve of mine.

I can't see this watch because of all dial…
-
I took a walk out today and saw the new Omega Trésor in steel.
It's a really nice piece. The dial is a bit more reflective than it appears in photograph, so it catches the light more than I expected.
-
Nice dial colour.
The new master chronometer by omega is the state of the art of chronometer movements.
If I had money, I would buy this

I like their AT150M collection a lot, especially the "golf" models; they hit the right notes of dressy and sporty and are rugged enough not to worry about swimming and such. I think they all feature a jumping hour hand, so if you don't need to track another time zone you still get the benefit of GMT as it pertains to quickly setting time without hacking no matter which model you get.
-
Quite impressive, man.
I like panerai most. -
TAG Heuer have released a new version of the Monaco.
The big difference with the old version is that it now uses the in-house Calibre 02, rather than an ETA movement. It's gained a seconds hand at the six o'clock position too, and it might be slightly thicker than before.
Hodinkee and Monochrome have more details.

Why on earth would they try to fix what wasn’t broken….

I kinda like it, but Anesthetist has a point.
