We know you love IH, but where do you think we can improve?

Let's just use the (red or other coloured) w on the pockets, like on the SH-38

Without being deliberately contrary, or advocating features of items to be deliberately off; I quite like the fact that each one is different. I think the wabi sabi side of it gives a product more character
Agreed.

I like the red W on the jackets and jeans but not on the shirts. Having the woven IH tag on the chest pocket of a shirt is enough branding for me, anything beyond that is overkill imo and I would likely stop buying them. Plus, I think adding the W would look out of place on certain shirts, especially anything with a pattern. I have an aversion to overbranding in general. A few years back Filson tried doing this with their shirts by adding an embroidered logo above the pocket or some such thing. Ugly as feck. But, then again, I wouldn't have bought it anyway since Filson can't seem to sew a shirt properly.

Great idea! The red W is a far better and subtle branding detail on the shirts than the tag. It is unique to IH and it would look not only great but also distinct it from everyone else who uses a tag on their shirts (e.g. two other companies that start with an L). Red W instead of the tag has definitely my vote.

I say keep everything as is. I love the red W as it's used now (jeans/jackets/some cut and sewn) and the tags that are currently used on the shirts don't bother me in any way.
-
The tag can be removed if you don’t like it, the W would pretty much be there to stay.

I haven’t read this whole thread so forgive me if this has already been mentioned..
The pocket bags on all my IH jeans are the weakest link and almost all of them have had to be repaired. They could be much thicker or even made with a light canvas and still be comfortable.

I love pocket seam taping on my 666's. When I got a pair of 777's I was surprised there was none. It's a great feature all cuts should get it!

I think you would approve of the Wabash pocket bags on the Pronto/IH XHS.
You’re probably right! Although the pocket bags on my PIH5DCT had to be replaced.

I don't know if something has changed or what, but my last two pair (666 14oz OD, 666 vintage 18oz) have had front pocket issues at the upper interior pocket hole seams. The pocket fabric on the 14oz, and the tape AND pocket fabric on the 18oz, have worn through very early in the journey. I have many lesser jeans that have never exhibited these behaviors, so I am pretty surprised by it.
Finally, the seams devolved similarly, but later in the lifespan of my old 634-SII, and then the pockets developed holes. I never thought anything of it because these jeans were getting patched by the time this happened, but I am a little disappointed to see this happening on these other, younger jeans.
I agree that this is a weak link in otherwise rock-solid jeans and appears to be common across all the denim IH that I have worn long enough.
I don't see this in any other IH pants, but then again, I wear jeans more frequently than I do those so hard to say whether this is jeans-specific.

Amos at grease point uses canvas on his pocket bags and they are bullet proof!

Why no hanging loops on jackets and coats?! Surely it can't be ruin any technical properties and doubt it would ruin a it aesthetically.

The only thing that could be improved on my IH-555-02 is pocket depth of the 5th pocket, it won't hold my small pocket knife in a nice way it pops out too far, it doesn't do just to the overall feel of these jeans. My next jeans would be XHSib and it has to be a 555 but the 5th pocket is really holding me back, besides availability of course

That pocket is meant for change. It’s a change pocket. If it was deep it would defeat its purpose. Easy reach for change without digging through a huge pocket.ive had jeans with a larger change pocket and it drove me nuts.

What’s change?
