The Iron Heart Forum Triangle of Terror Type III Trucker Tour 2018 - Updates thread

It's interesting to me that the denim seems to evolve like a black denim. There's very little blue, if any at all, right?
There is an indigo tinge to the white and grey areas, but much less so with the overdyed 19oz than with the overdyed 21oz, which goes from black, to blue/black, to indigo, the grey/white. Irl it feels and looks very different that SBG, for example.
I'm convinced the reason for this is the nature of the 19oz donor denim. Firstly it is very dark indigo in it's original form, so the difference in colour post-overdying, from a distance at least, isn't large.
Secondly, and most importantly, when the 19oz fades it does so with high contrast, going straight to white at high abrasion points. I wore my indigo 19oz while preparing a graveled area for some concrete work during the summer and in the course of one days work the knees went from deeply dyed, new indigo to white. so with the jacket the overdying pigment and the indigo come out together.
I suspect that if this overdyed material received more genteel treatment than this jacket has had, then more indigo would show. But @spitfiredealer and @steelworker have kicked the crap out of it. If you take it for another round, you'll be amazed by the difference.

Great updates and pictures. I am now looking at green eggs online again after seeing your chicken. Large or Xl?
Or just get your usual IH size? [emoji1786]I actually have a medium - it’s perfect for our family, but when the kids turn into carnivores, a large will be necessary. I can still cook 5-8lbs briskets no problem.

Yesterday was the first official “full week” back to work for me since the holidays and the start of a new semester with the kiddos.
Started off with my normal 5am workout - Was feeling achy, so stuck to 30 minutes of cardio and core work
Seeing as I had my first big team meeting in almost a month, I dropped the IH Vest on ‘em
Threw on the Lefty and took the kiddos to school
I have three offices that I conduct business out of, and none of them really have dedicated space for me, so I’m usually loading down float space
I did manage to break one of our blenders in the AM and after 3 months of cursing that bastard out everyday, my wife told me to go ahead and order this bad boy - very excited!
My lunches are usually salads with olives, feta, an oil based dressing and leftover meats. Today was smoked chicken
BONUS PIC: Katie Higgins in the first female Blue Angel pilot of “Fat Albert.” Our dads were stationed in California together and our moms were quite the friends on base. Here is a random picture of her and I at my 2nd Birthday
After a disaster trying to get the twins to eat, I fixed us some strip steaks and green beans
One of my co-workers gave me these amazing fresh lemons from her tree, so I did what was obvious
Had Avery do a fit check on the lefty… as imagined - she should go TTS
That concludes our Monday!!
Cheers everyone,
Adam

Of course @steelworker, you shall go to the ball!
There is a certain beautiful symmetry to the tour taking two years to complete it's first leg and ending up with @Appfaff in January again. However I wonder who is still up for the continuation?
I asked for people who did not want in to pm me but received nothing. On reflection this may not have been the best way forward, as it doesn't account for people who don't visit this thread anymore. So if anyone reading this wants out of the tour, please let me know.
Going forward, we follow this list. When the jacket holder is done with their four weeks he needs to contact the next person on the list. If they respond positively, in a timely fashion (lets say 48 hours), then that is where the jacket goes next. If not then get in touch with the next person on the list.

@DK - USI suggest that as we approach summer then we make a change to the schedule so that the jacket comes to me in Norway in July. I'll be able to use it regularly and it means the Germans can get it afterwards when things cool off a bit. @Rune in Denmark can join the tour at this point if he is still interested. Let me know what you think, gentlemen.
Final suggestion. We've discussed touring the jacket until it dies, but that will probably mean it getting "lost" at some point. I'd like very much to avoid that, and all good things should come to a glorious end. I suggest that after this round we look at auctioning it for charity. That could be done in a number of ways.
1. Open auction on the forum's marketplace. Anyone can bid, highest bidder wins.
2. Closed auction for members of the tour, highest bid wins.
3. Managed lottery. Everyone buys a ticket for a fixed price, the holder of the drawn ticket gets the jacket for life. Again this can be confined to members of the tour, or made open on the marketplace.Again, please do let me know what you think.
Cheers,
Reuben.

Really cool ideas. I’m definitely in for the next go around and I like the idea of buying tickets for a managed lottery.

Yeah I am in. If you guys want it to take a hammering at work then cooler months would work best.
Like the idea of lottery and the money going to charity.

Tuesday’s are our company Sales Meeting. It’s quite the “work culture” win as we have 70-80% attendance from the company - and in a business where everyone in an independent contractor, that’s a Big win.
Sadly, for the tour jacket, the meetings are where Leadership has to dress a little
Fancy as we take photos with visitors from other Sotheby’s affiliates, new hires, and employees/staff with birthdays.I started the day just like any other (by going to the gym) and then came home to
Get myself and the family ready. My mom got me this Hario Cold Bree maker and it’s amazing - and Japanese!
Dressed for the occasion…
Happy Campers in the way to school!
Tunage for the ride to school
After our sales meeting, my department meets with the owners to discuss new projects, newsletters, and budgets
After our meetings, we toured a house that an agent I I locked up as a new listing for our company. A nice $5M house in Rosemary Beach three tiers off the sand. This one was built very progressively in 2012, and feels very “fresh,” - which is hard for these homes as they take. Beating from the Gulf and Salty air after only a few years.
Contined…

01.07.2020 …continued
After RE-touring the Rosemary House, I headed back to my office on the East side of town.
An agent expanded her team and moved into a full office, so I took over her old space by bringing my huge IMac lol - I’m only here 1 day per week, but this year I’ve striving to be here two days per week as it’s our highest grossing sales office and needs to most marketing support
Aimee, our Ops assistant setting up my printer drivers
Although I am in a nice new routine in our new town, I do see the same people non-stop, so I’ve been trying to check out the CrossFit Gym nest my Eastern office.
They had an adorable gym dog who loved playing catch
Some bonus pics of the tour jacket
Have a great day everyone!!!
