IHSH-96-IND - Waffle Work Shirt - Indigo
-
Xxl it will prob be the. I mostly wanted to hear that it stretched alot or that it didnt. I have read conflicting things in this thread. I overthink shit way too much lol
-
Here are my measurements for one I bought last year. I’ve washed it three times. Two cold, and one warm wash. The post-wash measurements were taken after wearing a few times since its most recent wash. That’s why the shoulder measurement is the same pre-wash figure.
Shoulder: 18.5 => 18.5
Length: 28.6 => 28.25
Chest: 22.3 => 21.75
Waist: 20.8 => 20.25
Opening: 21.7 => 21.5
Sleeve: 25.25 => 24.75This shirt is definitely stretchy, but the buttons also tend to slip out, even when not under pressure.
I also agree that it feels quite airy on its own, but if worn under something, it provides a comfortably warm layer.

Thanks everyone for the help! Especially @Graham for dealing with my indecisive over thinking lol Can't wait to try this thing on
-
@jat that is fairly easy to fix, just put a single stitch at the top or bottom of the button hole.

Im glad i took @Graham s advice on this shirt. Exact fit i was looking for prob could have went with a large, but xl will be great for the warmer months. IH customer service is def top notch. Thanks again

May I ask a foolish kinda' question?
How does the fabric on this shirt compare with the IHSH-208-IND, the Kersey shirt. Considerably lighter?
-
Worn under the 240 on a cold canadian morning.
-
Thanks! The 240 has got a lot of wear this winter, pretty sure it has only been washed 3x, It lost a fair bit of color on the first wash. I should have held off a while longer but oh well.
-
@BD81 , that shirt has a great patina. And nobody wants to smell anything more than the iron and the heart. Lookin'goodyo.
-
It would be washed more but i pretty much only use it as a jacket under my vest.
-
@protokultur if you are considering picking up the IHSH-96…go for it. Its a killer shirt, nice and lightweight for the spring / summer.

Second this…..though I will add that I find it a great weight almost year round, depending on what its layered with/under. I wore mine out in ~45 degree weather today with a thin undershirt only and I was fairly comfortable. I've also worn it comfortably up to about 75 degrees.
-
@DigitalPopsicle I haven't worn it in warm weather yet, but it does keep me real comfortable under a UHF in -15 to - 20 C. How does it breathe in the summer with no under shirt?
-
The waffle makes it a fairly open weave feeling to me. I haven't worn it without an undershirt, but it does breathe well.
-
Got an e-mail saying that mine should arrive today.
Cant wait to try this one on now that the weather is warming up.
