Thanks, yours too. Here's an update. I guess it's ~2 years of wear, and still only 2 washes.
-
I was super surprised how soft they get in comparison to how they start out.
Mine feel close to sweatpants at this point.

two years in:
round about five washes..

Jeans look amazing but I love that shirt. I take it that it’s one of your own creations? Btw, I was recently wearing my denim western you made me years ago and got tons of compliments. Still one of my favorite shirts!

Looks like a Lee shirt judging from the patch on the pocket

Thanks.
Yep, Lee 101 Rodeo Shirt. -
I was in contact with IH today and came to realize that my beloved 555-02 went past their 6 month anni, that cannot go unnoticed of course so here are some pictures.
I presoaked my jeans and they have not seen any water since besides some rain here and there.
The pictures have no filter or any alteration:

Since it is not a constructional concern (something near the crotch seam), you can definitely leave it as is for right now and keep truckin. It will get bigger, but only marginally at first, and it will take time, so you have some time to figure out what you would prefer. Depending on who repairs it and how, it might change the way your jeans feel and move for a while until the repair softens and breaks in. There are several repair options, like basic patches, sashiko, or darning, and all will be relatively minor and painless, since the hole is not big and is in a good spot. Hope there was no physical damage and the jeans did their job and protected your body…

Hi Adam, great reply, thnx! I think I leave it as it is right now and see how it develops, there is no need since it isn’t, as you said, in any wat structural. I wear these jeans 6 months now and this is something that just happened so it’s all cool.
We have some nice repair shops here in the Netherlands who repair it any way you want it and do a great job.
I was in fast crossover turn when I lost control, wouldn’t specify these jeans as motorcycle wear but as skate wear they did a great job only minor scratches on my knees.
