IHSH-62-WHT - 12oz Wabash Western Shirt - White

Does it fade at all?
-
Like G says, it does not. To fade it’ll the spots would need to be indigo or another pigment dye, and I’d imagine making neat rows of very small dots with indigo would be nigh on impossible.
It does soften and wear in beautifully however. Brilliant shirt. Congrats @Wlemon nice to see your face on here. Been a while.

Congrats on the score, @Wlemon it looks great on you.

Thanks for all the info, guys. I was almost thinking about upgrading, too, but with the turquoise snaps. If I remember correctly, though, those cannot be applied to this shirt.

Any experience of this shirt's shrinkage after several washes? Is this material 100% cotton and softer?

I have this and I have hot washed it (90C). As was as many other washes at a normal temp. 30C-40C produced no shrinkage. However at 90C there was decent shrinkage. The shirt shrank approxiamately half a size, around 1-1.5cm in all direction, possibly 2cm in length.
Regardless of colour, IH wabash is the same material essentially. As the product page says it will shrink with repeated or hot washing, and that is what happened. I’ve hot washed so much IH wabash now, I don’t bother documenting anymore. I know what will happen.
It is 100% cotton, but softer than what? Soft would not be the first adjective I associate with it, but everything is relative. It is a tightly woven 12oz fabric designed as workwear, by a company famous for over-engineered clothing worn by Japanese bikers. There are definitely softer shirts out there than this one.

Thanks @neph93
I'm thinking of adding few more IH shirts to my wardrobe and I was considering this one and the Kanreki, but was quite unsure which one to go for. I have to choose between this and the Kanreki. Whichever shrinks the least is going to be my preference. Thanks for your reply!

No problem. They are very different shirts. The IHSH-179 (kanreki) has been once washed so most or all the shrinkage is out. It is also a lightweight, breathable, soft and comfortable flannel. The wabash is a heavy, tough, relatively coarse, twill fabric. It will not shrink meaningfully on a cool wash but will at higher temps.
