@scooter that was filmed right at the top of The Kop, named after The Spion Kop, a hillside in South Africa where a battle was fought in 1900, and which it resembles.
When I was a lad I would go there to stand together with 30,000 others and sing silly songs while watching the football, getting pee’d on and wondering what all the funny smelling smoke around me was (because it wasn’t tobacco).
In 1994 it was turned into an all seater stadium (about 12,000), and was the single tier stand at a football stadium in the UK, until about a year ago. It’s still the best.

So, what you're saying is, to experience Anfield in all it's glory, I'd want to be pissed on at the top of the Kop.
Kinky.

Ha… it was because with 30,000 pressed into such a small space no one wanted to try and find the toilets. You'd have missed half the match, so people pissed in their rolled up newspapers instead. Now it is seating it doesn't happen.
Although, if you sit in the Anfield Rd. stand at the other pitch you can give or receive piss. It is a two tier stand and the left hand side of the bottom tier is reserved for away supporters. It has been known for home supporters in the upper tier to pee in cups and chuck it down a level. Mostly when supporters from Manchester are visiting...

must've been an atmosphere to lose 4-0 to city..

Doesn’t matter a bit. We could have lost 10-0 and I still wouldn’t have cared. Too little and far too late from that lot. At least they were in it for a while though.

Brilliant win at weekend from the Gooners! Watch out Liverpool next season!!! @neph93
Absolutely everyone will be out to get us next season. I like Arteta despite him being associated with blueshite (both light and dark blue). It’s also a well kept secret that I have a soft spot for the Gooners having lived in London with a mate who supported them. I used to go to Highbury and their CL games at Wembley now and again… don’t tell anyone.

Would've been nice to carry the torch for Premier League on a European stage. Also would've been nice to face Inter in the finals and play against the United rejects..
it's one of those where they had everything on a plate for them but then they just manage to go and fuck it up. dominating the game, countless clear opportunities to put the game to bed. and then they flipped of the switch off twice and got kicked right out..

@neph93 how's villa?
-
hahah i try to see it the other way round. spurs is a big team where as villa is mid table at best, so the defeat to spurs didn't stung as bad..
-
Good point, Spurs and Man Utd are both at that same mid-table/CL if they are lucky level [emoji6]
I’ll allow us a bad day on the job. Especially given the results against Chelsea and Arsenal. We won’t be where we were last season, but as long as we are still in the running at the half way stage I’m happy.
What are Utd’s goals? Just CL or do you see them being able to challenge?
