Welcome Polly, good to have you here. I’ll be interested to hear your opinions on the 777 vs. 888. Also, how do you find wearing 21oz denim in London? Strictly a cold weather thing?
A small update: The 888s arrived yesterday and did nothing for me. Saggy in the seat due to the higher rise and where I wanted to wear them, and the thighs were too big. But the 666 which arrived today? Damn near perfect… Just trying them again but I think I'm in love.

I’m a bit jealous of you @Polly… I loved checking out all the cuts and seeing what worked, exploring sizing etc.
For me the 888 needs to be worn high waisted as the top block is looooong. It works well for me and if I size down I fill out the... erm, pockets, and thighs nicely. 666 is something else though. An absolute classic slim top block. If you can pull off the thighs (which I generally can’t), it’s a blinding bit of jeans design.

Yes @neph93 - that's exactly it. (Well, not the "pockets" bit for me - ha.) I want these low slung on the hips and so there's just too much bulk in the 888 and it throws off the whole shape. The 666 work SO nicely worn lower, and because I've sized up to fit my hips rather than waist, the thighs are good, too. It's slim, relaxed and
a flawless line - the perfect shape imo. Might not take them off. Do IHUK offer hemming while I'm still wearing them? -
Hello @Polly –- Welcome to the Forum and have fun.

New member here from Belgium.
I’ve got a few modified type III’s (21oz, olive whipcord, ecru pique, 25oz vest).
I got into Ironheart after buying the Vox Pathfinder guitar amp with Ironheart denim covering. -
Hi everyone. I’m in London, and found this forum incredibly helpful when sizing up a pair of 555-03s, so thanks very much. Great customer service, too. I’ve already a pair of 777-14S. Didn’t wear denim for some thirty years, LOL, so hope I won’t be thrown off for admitting that…..

Welcome @Richard

LOL. Thanks fellas.

Hello everyone- I’m a new forum member, but I have been wearing Iron Heart denim for a few years and have been checking out posts for the past month or so. I live in Philadelphia. Currently rocking 555-01 indigo snakes that I picked up last week. They are already softening up and super comfortable - can’t wait to see how they fade.

Hello everyone…
Welcome. Good to have you here. Nice choice for a first pair.
Thanks! First pair were actually 666S-21’s. I didn’t do my homework and wasn’t aware of the stretch. They ended up fitting okay and I still wore them, but they were definitely too loose for my taste. I did fall in love with Iron Heart’s denim and considered getting another pair of the 666 in the right size, but opted for the higher rise and more tapered fit of the 555’s.
I just cleared out 8 pairs of jeans that I wasn’t (or probably shouldn’t) be wearing and feel like I need another pair to create a rotation with my indigo snakes I’m thinking really hard about getting the 777-XHSib. The measurements seem pretty ideal for me (and that awesome indigo-black 25oz denim..).

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Bought a pair of IH-301S (21oz) in 2013 thinking I W36 was «my size». The waist was at 38” after two days [emoji1] Actually properly sized IH-555-01 was my next pair a couple of months later.
The XHSib is great denim and a solid progression from the 21oz. Check the other XHSib threads for info and feel free to ask questions on the product thread.

Greetings everyone,
My name is Andrew from good ol' Virginia–I'm a "long time listener, first time caller" of this forum having lurked for awhile. I've been an Iron Heart convert for about a year now and have picked up so many awesome pieces and always referenced the forum for people's reviews. I bought my first pair Iron Heart denim (IH-555-01) right before my second daughter was born last December so I could see them fade and age as she grew. It's been fun watching the almond butter and milk stains pile up on them. Glad to be a part of this community!
