IH-555-03 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Superblack (Fades To Grey)
-
Had to give mine a wash before a crotch repair at my local taylor. Got some creases, as I forgot to put them into the machine wet. Nevermind. No issue for me.
-
First outing. Soak tomorrow. Wonderful fit around the waist. Here’s hoping they don’t tighten up too much.
-
Lol. I’d need help taking the denim off.
-
Unsure if I want these next, my 555 21od are only about a month old. Or hold off for the 19oz 555 indigo/black coming out in a month and half or so.
-
@Jett129 I measured my current pair of 555-03's which are about 3 years old. They were 31.8". @Graham kindly found me a pair which matched. I then soaked them before wearing and after that they were good to go
. Seems as if you got a taste of the great customer service we’ve all grown accustomed to getting.

@Richard looks great. Whatever you loose in the waist with a soak, you will get back through stretch that occurs with wear, although you may experience some temporary discomfort.
@Kasi are we talking sparrows or seagulls? The seagulls up my way are big and mean enough to remove items of clothing but lack the limbs. Of course we have big old eagles too and they have been accused of stealing babies so getting denim off is a possibility… even 21oz denim.
I ask because I know you aren’t referring to women on an equal access, equal rights forum, where we wouldn’t want women to feel unwelcome, right? [emoji6]

Thanks Neph. I’m hoping the words “temporary discomfort” aren’t a mantra…....

I think if there isn’t a little bit of discomfort the first few wears after soaking STF jeans, or straight away after putting on fully sanforised jeans, then you’re doing it wrong. The jeans will end up too big with the inevitable stretch.
Of course if the waist ends up too tight and temporary discomfort ends up being chronic, there’s always this [emoji23] :
