@spitfiredealer and others, the new production of these was submitted today. They will be renamed the IH-555S-SBG and will be one washed.

Not too much shrinkage after a first soak…... Sized up, so that helped enormously. I find these 21oz easier to wear than the 777 14 oz, which I guess is down to the weave, not the weight, right? Very hard behind the knees, mind. Wow. Lol. Got some way to go to catch up to Rox......

Thank you gents
I hope that new production run includes size 26

My overdyed pair of these measure flat just a hair past 19in. Would a tag 36 or 38 be better?
-
Is that measured the IH way? If your target is a 38” waist when stretched and worn then you should order a pair that start out around 38”. These will loose an inch with a soak before they stretch out again.
There are major differences in how these two denims behave. The OD does not shrink and stretches easily, while the SBG is resistant to stretch in addition to shrinking a little.

Guys I think I finally found the right IH fit. 888 wasn't tapered enough and bunched at the crotch. 666 was too tight in the thighs and hips. 633S is great but still didn't have the silhouette I wanted.
555 is it. Pics to come. -

555 is it. Pics to come.I can vouch for that. My first pair of IH were the 777, but my 555’s are the mustard…

I’ve only soaked the 555-03, so have another hurdle to jump. Yikes. Lol. Think I’ll have to vote the bullet and get the 555 01…...

Thing is, some iterations come up just a little different and the shrinkage/stretch ratio tips just the right way for the individual’s body type. For me, the thigh and knee of the 555-03 was way too tight in my waist size. The 555-XHS is that much more generous in those areas. But I’ve been at this for 6 years and have been lucky enough to try many cuts in many denims. You live, you learn.

Like you said it quite right.
In 2013 when I brought my first pair beatle buster sample them for a while, then hop to 666 the devil fits, even try the 666 25oz was to big for me, in the bottom leg didn’t cut out for me to wear, then the 777 was born.
I brought the version one which was a high rise, then it was modified to a lower rise..
Worn the 777 for two years, I started to find them annoying in the waist being low.. then I knew 555’s
was the last answer..Now my favourite is the 555’s they true liking to my legs. Can lift my legs and bend down easily.
Ever since I have been happy. With a smile.

Some advice on these jeans please…
Just bought a pair and fits just nicely. I'm aware about the shrinkage after the first wash and I do need to get them hemmed.
Should I wear them a bit first to stretch em out, wash it, then get hemmed? Or should I just get them hemmed right away?
I don't plan on doing any hot washes as I don't need them to shrink too much.
thanks
